I came here with family after hearing good things and because everything is halal. We tried a variety of things but the best thing, by far, are the momos. We ordered a bunch of chicken, beef, and shrimp ones in different styles and they were all great – fresh and steaming hot. The other stuff like the thalis weren’t worth getting in my opinion. The servers work hard but it can get a little chaotic as it gets busy. If you’re coming here, I recommend sticking to the momos and possibly some sides dishes.

Me and my friends went there to have a Nepali thali and the service was worst . It seems like not a restaurant more like a local Nepali khaga ghar and the waiter was so rude and unprofessional. We asked waiter to add some side dishes for thali but they bring at once . We had to ask them 3 times and at the end they bring something. The taste of the food was also bad and at the end we realized that we just wasted our money . At the same price we should have went somewhere nice . Just be careful while going there . And the water at the jug / mug on the table was smelling so bad . I don’t recommend someone who wants to eat something there because the environment was not clean and you goona feel awkward while dine in there . Thanks

the waiter there was so nice. 10/10. he even gave me a free sel roti. I ordered a mixed chowmein, jhol momo and something else I forgot the name of (sorry). I really liked the mixed chowmein. it did take a long time for the food to prepare tho

I sat there on a table waiting for my friends to join me and Didi brought me a fresh, hot sel roti to munch on as I waited. She did not want to charge me for that. This hospitality that reminds me of home dictates my experience here so I may be biased but everything, starting from Jhol Momo to Sel Roti to Sekuti was superb. Taste, presentation and freshness, was on point We were a big group and ordered in so many parts (apologies) but the servers were always friendly and smiling.

Great food. But poor service. Maybe it’s a language barrier. My first experience was memorable to came back for more. Like, literally I came back the next night. The mushroom soup was ideal for a cold rainy night. The steamed chicken momo’s or fried goat momo’s were perfect especially for an introduction to the cuisine. The veggie chow mein was well flavored but not too spicy you could not enjoy. I attempted to come back the next night to try more items from their menu but my server who I had the night before fumbled my order and his flippancy towards service meant I waited almost 45 mins in a empty restaurant for 2 out of the ordered 6 dishes to not arrive. No apology no rationale. He was more interested in playing YouTube videos than actually attending to needs of customers not including myself. He’s even on iG outside smoking before we were finished. I traveled a hr to be dissatisfied with the service not cuisine. So this will not happen again. Take out if you must.

It is a nice Nepali restaurant around the neighborhood. I was basically looking for a momo place to try and came across this.

Their Jhol Momo is perfect for a cold day. Punched with flavour and spices, it is hitting all the right places.

Stopped by today because this place was a consecutive winner of the momo crawl. Service was a bit awkward because we were seated in the basement. We were the only ones there and the staff was mainly on the first floor, but the food was very good.

The broth for johl momo is amazing, but the spices for momo is not that great. However the combination is amazing. A mediocre food place but definitely a very authentic restaurant for Nepali food.

Seeing as we were staying in Jackson Heights on a trip to New York, my friend and I found it only appropriate to sample some of the area’s best food. Following a brief search, we decided on Nepali Bhancha Ghar – a five time five time winner of the annual momo crawl.
