Great local food, the specials menu changes regularly so it’s always exciting. Plus the regular menu has great options for lunch and dinner. The ceviche is amazing, the short ribs are to die for, and the spiral squash curry is fantastic. The drinks are equally as amazing as the food– cocktails, wine, and beers on draft & bottles! Lots of local breweries represented. Atmosphere is cozy, romantic, and lively. A great addition to the food scene in Belfast!

What I expect and want: local brews, an uncommon and Mexican influenced drink and food menu. Fine and delish, tasty and perfect. Fresh homemade ingredients definitely tastable. I have not seen hot pepper or cilantro in so many drink recipes but a decent variety of flavors you’d want tot sample because of their uniqueness.

We stopped into Neighborhood after checking into our hotel. We were seated right away and the menu had a good variety. The staff was very welcoming and quick to answer any questions we had. I decided to go with the mushroom tacos and my wife and I also shared the fries. The fries were absolutely delicious. I really liked the mushroom tacos. I’m not usually a big fan of mushrooms, but I wanted to keep the meal vegetarian and I was seriously craving tacos. The mushroom slices were a tad large, I would have preferred slightly smaller slices, but overall the flavor was really good so I can’t knock them! I would love to try a few of the cocktails on my next visit! The prices are a tad on the expensive side, but overall I’m very happy with the service and my dining experience.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. My wife and I stayed in Belfast for 10 days and came across this place while scrolling through Google Maps looking for somewhere to eat. The building is unassuming and if you weren’t looking for it, you might overlook it – but when you enter you’re greeted with a cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff. The food here is brilliantly crafted. Every dish we tried was well thought-out. Presentation was marvelous, the flavors married together beautifully, the portions were generous, the cocktails were delicious, unique and well-crafted. Our initial goal was to try a new restaurant each night in Maine, but after trying this place once, we went back the next day and had an even better experience. The short ribs were AMAZING and the pumpkin pie was on a totally different stratosphere of flavor and presentation.

One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in a long time. Everything was amazing. Fried green tomatoes, braised beef short rib, pork tostada, and a Maine blueberry gin special. Local ingredients all around. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and outdoor seating was lovely.

Stopped in Belfast on a road trip. Tried Neighborhood on a whim and loved every minute. It’s Underrated even if you rate it at five stars. Loved the service, the food, and the mixed drinks. Get the waffle for desert. You will want more.

An hour before closing time, we dropped by because we saw the awesome reviews and pictures. We left our name/number for a wait-time of about 30 min, and unfortunately the hostess forgot about us completely and we left. I’m sure the food’s great! Would appreciate better communication though

We love this place run/staffed by really cool & creative people. Menu always changes-many delicious options. Fantastic cocktails. Great prices esp for amount of food. Open a little over a year & great addition to Belfast. Festive atmosphere for casual meal out or for large uptempo groups. Home run

The design of the place was super cute and cozy yet modern, and noticeably eco-friendly. The servers were very helpful and personable. Most importantly, the food was delectable with a large selection of vegetarian and gluten free options, which I appreciated. I would definitely return here routinely if I lived in the area.

My Wife and I loved this place. High quality food at a decent price. The bartender had some great drink specials and we were very happy with his mixes. Maine isn’t really a place you find great tacos and most Maine Mexican restaurants are awful. I can honestly say this place has the best tacos of any place I’ve been to in Maine. I love the menu as it is limited and changes a lot. This seems to allow them to focus on quality while also allowing them to be innovative and fresh. I highly recommend Neighborhood to locals and vacationers alike.
