Let me just start by saying this entire bar is a vibe. Shilo is by far the best bartender I’ve come across in my adulthood. He is well dressed, sociable and overall welcoming. He made me an award winning Cadillac margarita with his custom rim job, and the most tasty award winning old fashioned I’ve had made for me. Absolutely would recommend.

Let me start by just saying our wedding party of 20 people had a great experience here last night that changed the entire vibe of our night. We started at “springs bar” in which after 20 minutes of us trickling into the bar, 3 bartenders refused to acknowledge us, let alone take our orders for drinks. After a bad experience here and no drinks in hand after 20 minutes, I suggested Native Son because I had been there once before. Your bartenders were busy but handled our group promptly and we all had drinks in our hands in minutes. The bar was a great vibe and it turned our night around. Thankyou to your staff for changing our night back into a positive manner for the wedding party.

Ricky was super accommodating for our wedding weekend, both in setting aside some space for a “Welcome Drinks” event, as well as an after party the night of our wedding. Great beers on tap, appetizers to share, and a wonderful DJ playing 90’s hip hop. Thanks again for helping us round out a wonderful weekend in Glenwood!

THE BEST BAR IN GLENWOOD SPRINGS! Bummed it took us a few days to discover this place, but after searching long and hard for a good cocktail and continually being disappointed, Ricky came through for us!!! Came back again the next day for Karaoke and the vibes were spectacular and Jasmine took equally as good care of us. One of the few places that also sells late night food that is delicious! Service, food, and drinks all 10/10 – I have nothing but good things to say about this place!!

Choosing to eat at Native Son was a chance bit of serendipity. We had the finest, most delicious meal we believe we have ever enjoyed. We chose the Sweet Potato Croquettes, the Mexican Street Corn, and the Ribs and Shrimp, the latter being the Thursday night special. We would just stop eating and look at each other. We just couldn’t get over how delicious every dish was. An excellent Vodka martini and a Margarita with the mixologist’s custom blend of spices around the rim topped it all off. The people there are friendly, funny, and engaging.

This was our second stop on our little adventure. We walked in and were stared at like we didn’t belong. We sat down and no one came up to us even though the waitress and waiter were behind the bar. I had to ask of they were serving food. The waitress rudely replied they were and the waiter gave me menus. No one bothered to come up to us after. We left. I wouldn’t come back. That waitress was mean.

The guys working this place are awesome! We were staying in town for a night and had some locals recommend this place. Definitely does not disappoint. They have a great space with a room for pool tables and they make a mean cocktail. Shilo made the best margaritas we ever had and put a lot of effort into creating the best mix for the rim I’ve ever had. Can’t miss this spot while in town, for sure.
