Came here right before they started nugging people to leave so they can open for the nite club. We didn’t care cause we were old enough to stay and drink but the family next to us wasn’t because of their young. The service was eh. The food was almost kid portions. This is exactly how it came out first off. It wasn’t that filling at all and two the fact that I only got like 10 french fries didn’t make me entirely too happy
We came here again a year later and same thing. Service was better this time but food was disappointing. The $24 Birria tacos the were inedible. With tax, tip, and other charges they add, that is $32 for tacos that we did not eat cause they were so bad. The “consommé” was just a bowl of oil and no onions, cheese, or cilantro on the tacos. Just a dry lump of meat. The meatball bombs were not bad.
Their response to this review just proved how rude they are and how terrible this place is. You are wrong, if you fixed your mistakes in person, your review would have been better cause you fixed the problem. Especially since majority of my reviews are positive. I do like posting reviews because I rely on reviews a lot. Most businesses are competent and i leave them great reviews, but i can see why you would twist the truth. Also, every time we were there, it was a bad experience. How many chances do you want in order get it together? And look at those tacos, do you really need me to tell you they are horrible. And the point still stands, there was nothing other than dry meat on the tacos. I don’t remember us ordering inedible food so it wasn’t “our exact request”.
They are trying to talk about other business reviews but do not address why their service and tacos were so bad. Shows that they take no care and are trying to pass the blame. Best to stay clear.
And btw 5 out of my last 10 reviews are a perfect 5/5, praising local businesses for what they did well and what makes them unique. Telling me to get a hobby cause your business is awful and got a bad review due to your short comings is not the way to go. It is crazy that you are mad that people use google reviews for its purpose. Either highlighting amazing business or alerting customers where to stay clear from and not to waste their money at. Guess what, you get to choose which side you fall in. If you dont want to be part of the system, then get off google.
It is also funny how they do not tell any of the local guides that gave them a 5 star review to “get a hobby” and they are making excuses and arguing with everyone who left a 1 or 2 star review. Guess they are perfect and all those many many bad reviews are wrong. With an attitude like that, it is easy to see why this establishment is so bad. Instead of listening to feedback, they make excuses and attack.
Nardis is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience. The nightly live music is a standout feature, with a variety of bands gracing the stage. Whether it’s the off-season with performances every Friday and Saturday, or the bustling summer season with live music every night, there’s always a vibrant atmosphere that keeps you tapping your feet.
The food at Nardis is nothing short of amazing. Their menu caters to all, from the most ardent seafood lovers to those of us who prefer other delicacies. Each dish is prepared with care and served with a side of warm hospitality, making every meal a memorable one.
But what sets Nardis apart is their unique Nardi’s Bus service. Available for those aged 21 and over, this late-night ride service is a thoughtful and convenient alternative to Uber. It’s just another testament to Nardis’ commitment to ensuring their patrons have a fantastic time, from the moment they step in, to the moment they’re safely dropped home.
Nardis Tavern is more than just a restaurant; it’s a cornerstone of Long Beach Island, a place where memories are made, and good times are always on the menu. If you haven’t visited yet, you’re missing out on a quintessential LBI experience. Five stars aren’t enough to rate this gem!
Ordered take out here a second time. Again, food was very good. But when we paid, we were due $2.45 in change and we’re only given $2. Not a huge deal, but I asked. They had to go look up the receipt in the garbage and realized they owed me $0.45. She said they didn’t have any quarters, then walked away for a bit. Came back a minute later and have me a dime…. Only a dime… Then walked away. Not the end of the world, but there is a lack of attention here to service.
