Our first time dining here and wondered why it took us so long to try this excellent Italian restaurant. Service was great and friendly. Food was delicious and hot temp wise. We got the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the Angel hair pasta. Calamari was excellent. Portions are plentiful and prices reasonable.

I think I’d rate them a 3.5 star. The service was good, the food was good but I’ve been trying a bunch of different Italian spots recently and this one fell a little short for me. I had the ravioli Florentine which was good but I guess I’ve liked ravioli better at other places. The garlic bread that came with the pasta was tasty though. It’s definitely not a bad dinner option in east county.

I know this sounds like a cliché, but if I could I would rate this place zero stars, I know you guys hear that a lot from other reviews but this place was below par. The food was cold to the touch. Nothing taste fresh we had to send back the ravioli, and when it came back we couldn’t even eat it because it looked like it was microwaved where I believe the owner swear on her mother That it was all cooked fresh that day, The food left a weird taste in are mouth, like it was all canned food that’s besides the fact we took nothing home and we had to stop off somewhere else to get food, Also it was my mom’s Birthday Day which I feel like I disrespected her for taking her here 1/5 -Please do better El Cajon deserves better message to the owner-

We visited this restaurant for the first time today, 6-8-2023 and it was delicious. We ordered the Canneloni and a large Mamma Rosa Special Pizza. Both were amazing. The Canneloni came our bubbling hot and was served in its own ceramic dish and includes garlic bread. The garlic bread was soft and loaded with melted butter-but not too much to where it was soggy/greasy and garlic flavor. The pizza was full of fresh veggies, perfect crust – not too thick and not soggy. Some places load up the toppings and the crust sags – not Mamma Rosa’s. Will definitely dine here again. Oh – we got Tiramisu to enjoy at home- I couldn’t wait and tasted a bite as soon as we got home – so fresh and tastey. A hint of espresso amongst the creamy flavor of the rest of the dessert.

We loved it. We had lunch there, one of the best meals in a long time. My wife had the lasagna, and I had the personal pizza. Both were delicious. The service was outstanding and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend Momma Rosa’s.

Excellent food and experience! Friendly servers. This is a hidden gem. Try them if you want authentic Italian. Our entire group was amazed. The food truly feels home cooked, hot and with quality ingredients. Clearly under excellent management. Impressed and will make this restaurant a part of our regular family visits.

The waitress was nice, service was quick, food, was okay. It’s an Italian restaurant in El Cajon, not really expecting little Italy level cuisine, but it was nice. On the menu the ravioli options are cheese or beef, being that this was my first time here, I wasn’t fully aware that the beef ravioli would be only filled with ground beef, and nothing else accompanied by tomato sauce, with ground beef in it. Had the menu specified this, I would have ordered the cheese, ravioli, but rookie mistake as this was my first time there, not the establishments fault. I will say this was not worth the $17. My date ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and he was not able to eat it at the restaurant due to how hot it was.

Food is always excellent. Very busy small family restaurant, but well worth any wait. Do yourself a favor and get the wedding soup when available.

First time here. Saw lots of good reviews before I went, so I decided to try it out. The place is nice, a little small but quaint. Staff was very friendly and had good service. I only ordered homemade spaghetti to go, but I was disappointed. They drenched it in meat sauce. You can’t taste the noodles or the meatball or anything. Would like to go back but a little skeptical. Hopefully second times a charm.

I cant believe i have lived by this place almost 8 years and just tried it. The staff is super nice, its a quaint set up inside to sit about 20 people. The food was a great value and food portions. I purchased the family meal special for $32 which was pepperoni pizza 6 slices, half order of lasagna, half order of spaghetti and meat balls and half order of meat ravioli with garlic bread and antipasto salad for $32. The sauce cheese and meat was excellent
