Pleasantly surprised by the quality food at this modest restaurant. Plenty of authentic options of Vietnamese food. Service was welcoming and food was brought our fast. We will definitely come back!

After moving to Buffalo over six months ago, I have yet to find a place that serves banh cuon. Came here since it’s on the US side (plenty of places in Canada). This place was delish! The chicken pho was so flavorful. The banh cuon really hit the spot for me that I even ordered some to go. And my girlfriend ordered me a Vietnamese coffee for the ride home which really brought it all together for me. Definitely willing to drive back out here just to fill my next craving.

Salad is ok. Bun Bo hue is okay. The owner is not pleasant and welcome. They can’t print the receipt.

Nam Vang Vietnamese Restaurant is a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in Rochester, New York. This is their only location and is family owned. We were actually recommend to try this place by someone who we talked to at another vietnamese restaurant in Syracuse. He said this was his spot when he was in the area so we had to try it out. The food was good and the service was fine. Some people on here have complained about the service not being friendly but I believe it’s just a culture difference and the people that run this establishment are not American born so when they talk to you it may come off as rude or impatient but that’s just how they talk, don’t take it personally. We didn’t feel that way when speaking to the owner. Now, the atmosphere when coming in was fine but when we got sat at our tables we noticed that the walls have not been cleaned in a long time and there was soup splatter and dried noodles stuck to the wall. It was pretty bad and I didn’t take a picture but it made me a bit nervous to try the food haha.

Best pho in Rochester right now. There used to be a place on Otis street that was the best but they closed. I get the pho special number 10 and it always taste great. They are one of the few places that leave the hoisin sauce bottle right on the table. All these other broken down places bring you a little sauce in a cup. The cuts of meat in your pho are good and not cheap pork like what they serve at Saigon Pho. Once you eat Pho at Nam Vang you won’t go any where else trust me!

Food is authentic but very bad service. I been here for a few times but due to the NOT FRIENDLY welcoming and no thank you after payment. I will not come back anymore. . Regret for the tips I had paid.

Traditional pho with good broth on the slightly sweeter side. Service is good. Food is good, but the area could be better.

Food is pretty good. A little on the pricey side for what it is. Also watch your bill they rack on a fee if you pay with card.
