Everything was wonderful except the food. The food terrible no flavor, all vegetables were from the can ,cooked to mush, the only seasoning was on the canned collards which had cinnamon and sugar in them, nasty. All of the meats were dried out and chewy, with no seasonings at all. Could be a wonderful place with the right cooks. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk and hotsauce, before coating with the seasoned flour to cook.

I love Southern cooking and this is the place that’ll satisfy your hankering! Would give it 5 stars but I did get some food items that were not hot. They really need to get back to fixing old fashioned banana pudding also.

We grabbed some yams, mac n cheese and turkey wings to go. We wanted to add to the food we already had for a gathering. The turkey wings were seasoned well. Everyone loved the slaw but the mac n cheese was nothing to brag about. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere gives the typical southern kitchen vibe where elderly patrons joke around with you. No one is a stranger feel.

My first time, I went because someone on my Facebook page said the food was great, which I’m a fan of seafood, maybe I visit the wrong day. The whole fish they had was cold, but when I went back to the bar, the catfish was hot and delicious. If I would return but I would go for the catfish and hushpuppies only. Other than the cold fish, everything was great.

This place is unbelievable and not in a good way. I should have known from the 90.0 Sanitation grade, but you know some hole in the walls can be a rare find. First of all my waitress did not look up to part. When we got there she did not properly clean the table, she was cleaning up things off of the floor with her hands and then refilling drinks, reaching over our plates without washing her hands. When I asked for a drink refill she went and picked up the broom and dust pan and said she was going to get my drink… again without washing her hands. On top of all that my brother-in-law found hair under the skin of his fried chicken. When I asked for a member of management they sent me a cook from the kitchen. No one ever apologized or even came back to the table for any type of resolution. That’s fine I will never eat here again and I suggest no one else does either. Oh… and for my inconvenience I knocked over the drinks on the table to give them something to do.
