We love coffee, Australia, and bagel sandwiches so this place has it ALL! They even brought the Australian custom of NO tip screen that makes you feel guilty first thing in the morning That might be our favorite part haha. The service was phenomenal. The food was delicious. We got bacon egg and cheese on everything bagels. I got a coffee and my husband got an iced latte. Both amazing. We sat on the covered deck watching the rain drops on the water. It was so relaxing. The building feels brand new and is just gorgeous!

Very nice location. Murphy’s is located on a lake with indoor and outdoor seating. The building is new and well maintained. There’s also a drive up window. The bagel sandwich was good but not great. They seem to close at 2 pm most days. I haven’t tried their coffee yet.

Friendly staff, super clean, awesome bagel and amazing environment (high quality tables and building materials, bright, open and pretty)! Plenty of space indoor, outdoor on the covered patio and outdoor open patio. Definitely worth your time and money! We got a drip coffee and a lox bagel. Both were tasty. I can’t speak highly enough about the staff! They were top notch. Well done!

Best coffee place near Charlottesville! I tried multiple coffee places in Charlottesville but I didn’t like any of them. Coffee was so tasty and smooth. It was really cheap price compared to other places. The bagel sandwiche was little bit pricey, but it was so good! Bagel itself was very tasty and chewy! I would like to come back here more often!!!

Friendly staff. Extremely clean dining room, clean restrooms, and clean outdoor seating. Love the simple design of the store. And definitely love outdoors overlooking the pond. There is a drive-thru if you don’t feel like getting out of your car. Bagels are excellent. I love the options for sandwiches or just an open face bagel. The toasted bagels are the perfect blend of crunch and soft. Happy they have non-dairy options for their coffee and various flavorings. The latte is so good. Coffee isn’t bitter or burnt. Just the right taste. I visited every day I was in town. Highly recommend!

As a resident of Greene Co, I love that we have a place to get bagel sandwiches right in our area-if only they were open on Sundays! My husband and I started going to Murphy’s as soon as they opened and at that time I definitely would have given a 4 or higher star review. I even thought ‘dang, these are better than Bodo’s.’ But- and I hate to say this – for some reason the bagels seemed to have changed/gone down hill. The last 3 to 4 visits the bagels have been over cooked and even burnt-to the point of hard to bite into. With each recent visit I kept saying ‘maybe it was just those few times.’ Sadly I haven’t noticed an improvement and I’m hesitant to go back. Bagels shouldn’t been blackened or hard to bite into! Go back to fluffier less cooked bagels please!!

Cute little place with really great staff, good food, and nice coffee! Love the look and the options. My only comment against it is it can get a little loud in there, simple fix with some padding on the wall or something. Great place to study outside though!

Seemed very under staffed. This was my first time here and, despite good food and nice people, the 15 minute wait in the drive-thru means it’ll be my last. As constructive criticism, they need to understand that long waits means people are late to work, which will lose them a lot of business.

The atmosphere was very clean and trendy. It was my first visit, and the employee was very helpful and nice. I just got and iced latte and lemon-poppy seed bread to go, but they were both very good. The true test is a hot drink and one of their namesake bagels. Needless to say, I will be back and look forward to it.
