Stopped in from out of town and was pleased with the service. Marinara wasn’t our family’s ‘cup of tea’ but each dish was well prepared and worth the cost. We got a entree salad (delicious), 3 different pasta dishes and a pizza. The pasta dishes came with side salads that were very good. I would have no reservations about returning for another meal and sampling more of the relatively extensive menu.

Was taken out for my birthday by a friend . I had never been here as I am originally from Pittsburgh, not West Virginia. Talk about authentic….our waitress had come over from Italy 6 weeks prior for college. Amazing food, wonderful staff and service. Homemade pastas, sauces and dressings makes this restaurant a must!

I had heard about Muriale’s for years but this was my first time there. When I saw the dated interior and the sports-bar decor, I had my doubts. I almost suggested we try somewhere else after a 45-minute wait (we were told it would be about 20). I’m glad we didn’t leave. It ended up being one of the best Italian meals I’ve had. The Bolognese was the best I’ve ever had.

Traveling from PA back to SC, I found this popular restaurant, which is a short drive off I-79 in Fairmont, WV. This family Italian stop has a ton of parking which was handy with our cargo trailer. We were greeted and offered seating on their rear deck overlooking the Tygart Valley River. The weather was perfect and Emily took great care of us. We split a Caesar Salad and a Meatball Sandwich with hot peppers. Both were outstanding! In fact, I took part of the sub for road snacking later. The food is fresh and definately worth a try. Sorry about the full size salad pic…we hadn’t eaten since very early, so there wasn’t much salad left for pictures. Oops.

The wait to get a table was about 20mins, my sister recommended we go here since she came last year. I ordered chicken alfredo, which was pretty good. The bread was amazing. Salad was decent. It was more on the expensive side. I gave it 3 stars because the service was super slow, wasnt that great. Our waitress was nice but really slow. A elderly couple that got seated after us got there order, drinks, food, and check before us. We were there for almost 2hrs. I even heard the couple comment on how we got there before them & were waiting longer than them. Must’ve been one of the managers came to check on us too, we asked for boxes and still waiting 5mins after for the waitress to bring them. We had a to go order too & that wasn’t exactly ready by the time we were ready to go. I can understand being busy, but we’re 2 people and a couple came in after us got everything before us, so not the best service. I was kinda disappointed by that.

I have been by Muriale’s several times over the years and always said to myself “I’m gonna have to try that place next time I’m up here” (I live a few hours away). I finally got to try it tonight and I’ll definitely go back. I had the tour of Italy, which consists of lasagna, ravioli, rigatoni and a meatball, all of which were good but honestly, I wasn’t too thrilled with the meatball. Thats just my personal taste though. I also had an appetizer with Italian peppers and italian sausage, which was good. I’d recommend Muriale’s to anybody in the area. I look forward to going back to try other favorites like ziti and hoagies. By the way, I had takeout, so I can’t comment on the atmosphere, but I hear they have great service

The food was good. However, the atmosphere was not welcoming. The waitress we had Vivian was rude. We got served bread with no plate. Then, I asked her for a plate and it was like a huge request. Also, when we got our food she didn’t check on how we were doing. Lastly, when we paid- We had to wait 10 minutes for her to bring back our change. There were not a lot of people there and it was just ridiculous. We will not be returning.

Nobody can beat Muriale’s spaghetti and meatballs. Their sauce is unique and hasn’t changed in the 40 years I’ve been visiting. It’s a beautiful atmosphere with stellar service. Although I don’t live in the area, this is a must-do every time I’m in town!

Ordered takeout on 8-14-23. So very disappointed. The food took almost 30 minutes more to prepare than what we were told, resulting in other restaurant food getting cold before we got home. There was very little sauce on the rigatoni and no bread with the order. The minestrone soup had one and a half huge meatballs in it and very little broth. The price is now ridiculous, especially with the portion getting smaller. Rigatoni has increased $5 and the soup $2, but the portion shrank. The pictures on the website look nothing like the food you are served. I’ve been going to Muriales since I was a little girl. This is so sad and so unlike how Rocco ran the restaurant.
