Munchies is a local favorite that I was not aware of until I met my wife. The atmosphere here is decent. The salsa is served in metal canisters with a mild and spicy option, and chips are always thin and crispy. The service was great during this visit. They even brought my two year old animal cookies, which was a big hit. The food here reminds me of the older tex mex restaurants that have faded away in recent years. They add their own twist to common dishes, and it doesn’t disappoint. Seating can be an issue as it is a smaller establishment. Prices are lower than average, and serving size is generous.

I did this review on the fly! So here is my review. I did not go inside, as I was on way to a meeting, and didn’t like what they were going to be providing for dinner. So I swung through the drive through. The young girl at the window had a smile on her face and welcomed me. Explained to her this was my 1st time there. I ordered the full order of beef fajita Nachos, and The Muchies Burrito I believe!!?? It’s the largest one they have on menu. The food was excellent, the service was above outstanding. The whole 1st time vibe even through Drive through left me feeling good about the restaurant and the staff inside. I will most definitely be back. Next time I’m going inside to sit down. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a local restaurant to eat at in the area.

Came to Munchies for dinner with our big family. We haven’t been here in over 20 years!!! We used to live in the area north of Silsbee and this was our go to for good Mexican food. I must say that the food is still very good and maybe even better than it was back then!!! The Queso was really great! The chips are still really fresh and crispy, and now they serve two heat levels of salsa!!! The one on the metal cup with the plain lid is very mild, even my 7 year old loved it!! The one in the metal cup with the little chimney on the lid is the”HOT” salsa, and I loved it. A few at our table mixed the two to their level! I had the Munchies Ole’ dinner with a crispy beef taco, bean tostada, and a tostada chip with queso, and also a small dollup of Guacamole. This was followed by a hot plate of two cheese enchiladas, a tamale, sand beans and rice! My wife has the bowl of the Flameado with beef fajita meat in it served with three flour tortillas. We also had sweet tea to go with our meals. Our 7 year old had the Chicken Rings with French fries. He was very happy with what he had. Our waitress was on top of her hand and I wish I would have got her name. She was very prompt at taking our drink orders and getting us menus! She came right back with our drinks and asked if we wanted appetizers. My sweet mother in law ordered 3 large bowls of Queso for our dinner party of 11 I believe it was!!! She came right back with the chips and salsas and then brought out the Queso!!! She then took our food order and it wasn’t long before my cold plate came out with my tacos! I asked if she could substitute a taco in place of the bean tostada and she said it wasn’t no problem! Happy me! I love tacos!!! She came back frequently with refills on tea and other drinks as well as bringing fresh chips!!! All in all we all had a great time and enjoyed our meals and the friendliness of our great waitress! The Urbina’s who own it have also remodeled the inside very tastefully with aquariums and really nice pictures they have taken themselves! It was a very nice visit, and again great food!!!

Came on Mother’s Day which is their busiest day of the year. Even with every table full the wait was not exorbitant and the staff were friendly and helpful as always, even passing out flowers for the mothers. We visit here often and always have a great experience.

Best waitresses in town! I love their fresh, thin chips, and the hot sauce is so good. The owner, Chris, is a great guy and is always so sweet. I highly recommend dining here. The mini chimis are my favorite.

It’s like a Mexican diner in Tijuana. No frills. Bathroom is small with a pungent smell of urine in the Mens Room and not kept up. I needed to have the towel paper refilled.

Fajitas were good and so was the service. The salsa is mediocre store bought and the rest of the food was questionable but edible. With a few tweaks we had some good fajita tacos in the end.

Good food, but they really should caramelize the onions in the fajitas. Caramelize your onions! No one likes half cooked onions.
