Came here on Xmas day for lunch of 3.
Family and cosy vibes, local and tourists are here for food and nearly all full.
Service was good, waiter did come to chit chat even during busy hours, efficient and fast delivery of food.

Ordered for escargots, pork prank, Choucroute Alsacienne, crème breme, pinot noir.. target to try the Alsace traditional food.
-Pork prank – very soft and tasty.
-Escargot – love that its hot with ‘bubbles on’ even after awhile left on table as a starter.
-Choucroute Alsacienne – I’m not a fans of the sauerkraut, the meats were well matched with it.
-Crème Breme – This is served with pistachio flakes and surprisingly matches with the crème breme! This is rightly soft, just needs to be warm.

Recommend to have indication of the WC for the gents and ladies, to avoid long queue

Overall, thanks for the nice Xmas lunch here!

Very nice to sit and relax and people watch.
Tart did not come out hot and was fine but not good. Maybe if it was hot. Server never came anywhere near me or ask when I did not eat it. The meat was fine. Again not terribly hot and did not have a lot of flavor. Maybe if there was mustard or a server to ask for some.

Stopped at this restaurant to try some local dishes. We ordered the classic baeckeoffe and flam. The dishes are amazing and the the portion was rightly matched to the price . The service was a bit slower and had to wait bit longer to order or to receive; other than that it’s good.

Best thing was a break from the Christmas market madness for some local dishes. Two entrees (escargot and tart a l’oignon) and four mains (Chacrout, poelon de spaetzles, Fleischkiechle, pork loin) were plenty for six to share and delicious.

Located in the heart of Strasbourg,

Muensterstuewel offers a cozy and traditional Alsatian dining experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with charming wood-paneled interiors that reflect the region’s heritage. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The food is good, featuring classic Alsatian dishes like tartes flambées and choucroute. While the flavors are authentic, some dishes could benefit from a bit more seasoning. Overall, it’s a nice spot to enjoy local cuisine in a comfortable setting.

The waiter (the young, tall, blonde one) was very unfriendly and seemed like he really disliked his job. It created a negative atmosphere from the start. I noticed that other nearby venues were full, while this one had plenty of space—and now I understand why. The food was mediocre, and the overall experience was disappointing due to the poor service.

The food was quite ordinary, unsalted and didn’t leave much of an impression. However, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location is definitely a plus. Despite that, I don’t think I’d choose to return

Near the cathedral. Superb quality of food and drinks – Flammenkuchen with goat cheese, onions and honey was just delicious. So was Gewürztraminer.
Attentive and friendly service.
Merci!

Lovely little place. We enjoyed the Flammkuchen and the glass of wine that was recommended by the kind gentleman. Great place to sit down for a bit and still enjoy the Strasbourg vibe.

A rather good dinner. Had snails for starter, followed by the braised pork wth munster cheese. The starter was nothing special, a bit dry. However, the bread was fresh and still warm. The main was also delicious, meat incredibly tender, and potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Service was a bit slow, had to ask for the bill and water a couple times before we got them. However, it was quite busy.
