Ms Arlene is a soul food master. I had the salmon croquettes with collard greens, okra and tomatoes, cornbread and sweet tea. The croquettes were the best I’ve had in a long time, browned to perfection on the outside, soft inside and absolutely delicious. The veggies were well seasoned and went very well with the fish, the sweet tea and cornbread were absolutely perfect. All in all this was the best home style meal I’ve had in a long long time.

Ms. Arlene’s is a MUST if you’re looking for true southern soul food. This is the kind of place where you feel love in each dish. The catfish and collard greens are the best I’ve had, and the burger and onion rings certainly live up to the hype. I can’t wait to try more!

Great little place price seems high but food was amazing. Little small on the inside but food was great. Ran more like an old small town restaurant. I saw the other review complaining this wasn’t down home country food but they must not be from the country cause my food was cooked perfectly. It’s not like traditional modern restaurants. The lady’s are cooking in the back and taking care of the front. I travel for work and I’m from central Texas and of all the restaurants I’ve been to this one is definitely getting put on my list of must return to. I’m a fat boy by heart and nature. This place makes you feel like your going over to your grandmas and she just whipped you up a fresh meal. The beef tips weren’t over salted like most places and the corn bread is ACTUAL cornbread none of that bs sweet corn bread that’s sticky to try and make it taste better. This place is good and has better food and nicer staff. If you can’t enjoy yourself here you need help.

I order chicken fries steak, mash potatoes, green beans. The food was delicious and hot. Service was excellent as well. I asked about their catfish and they brought me out a sample of it. Awesome . I will continue to come back. One of the best cooked food in this town.

The food here was freaking amazing and delicious. I stopped here after searching for diners, on Google maps, on my way home to Fort Worth, and finding this little place having the best rating in all of corsicana. It was one of those little hole in the wall mom and pop restaurants, and totally deserves the rating. I had the chicken fried steak with the Mac n cheese and candied yams. After I changed my mind on getting collard greens and asked for Mac n cheese instead, ms. Arlene went ahead and gave me all three. It was all delicious, including the collard greens. This was the best meal I have had in a while and was all home made and was amazingly delicious. Can’t wait to have a chance to stop by next time I drive through Corsicana.

If you are ever in Corsicanna, you should stop by Ms. Arlene’s! I had the chicken fried steak, candid yams, and collard greens and it was delicious. The service was great and when I am back in Corsicanna that will be my place to eat.

The Pinto beans and candied yams were amazing! All home made fresh ingredients. We both ordered the fried catfish and it was wonderful. Next time we’ll probably share a 4 piece, the servings are HUGE!
