Our favorite Mexican restaurant never disappoints! From the moment you walk in, the staff and management make you feel welcome. They’re genuinely sweet, attentive, and go out of their way to make sure every visit is perfect. The menu has a fantastic variety, with something for everyone, whether you’re craving classic favorites or trying something new. I recently tried the Shrimp Diablo and it was fantastic and very spicy! The margaritas are some of the best we’ve had anywhere. Great food, great drinks, and truly wonderful people make this place a spot we’re always excited to come back to.

We had an awesome experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing—everything was fresh, flavorful, and came out perfectly. The atmosphere was great and the service really made the visit even better.

A special shoutout to Rachel, the manager, who was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was running smoothly. You can really tell she cares about the guests having a great experience.

We will definitely be back! Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and excellent service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve visited Margaritas Collierville a few times as a family. Overall, the food has been decent and the atmosphere is welcoming, which is why we kept coming back. However, our most recent experience was disappointing and worth sharing for awareness.

My husband and I both ordered the T-bone steaks advertised as 10 oz. What we received were extremely thin steaks — closer to what looked like a 3 oz portion at most. Even our server acknowledged that the steaks appeared very small.

We respectfully voiced our concern to the main host, who explained that the steaks are ordered as 10 oz from the supplier but “shrink down during cooking.” While some shrinkage is expected when cooking meat, the size difference we received did not seem reasonable or consistent with what was advertised.

Unfortunately, no accommodation or compensation was offered, which added to the disappointment.

Based on our experiences, there seem to be increasing inconsistencies with food portions and quality, so just be aware when ordering.

There are also a couple of newer Mexican spots in the area worth trying if you’re exploring options, including Local Lime and Rio Lobo Cantina, both bringing fresh alternatives to the local dining scene.

We hope consistency improves because this restaurant has potential.

I ordered the new sombrero meal and my daughter ordered the chimichangas. The sombrero meal had chorizo sopecitos, beef flautas, cheese quesadillas, beef empanadas, served with guacamole, sour cream and tomato slices. The empanadas were overly salted, the chorizo sopecitos had an added seasoning on top of it(mind you chorizo is already seasoned) the beef flautas were fine. I spoke with the manager to tell her my meal was overly salted. She offered to give it to me with chicken. I said no, I’ll just take the beef flautas(mind you theyre 6 half pieces) and just charge me for that. The manager brought a platter with 15!! Who’s going to eat those? I was being kind to keep the 6 as they were not very flavorful. The manager stated she would charge me for half of the meal which was a 14.99 meal. Well I don’t know what her math was but she brought a ticket back where she had only take off 4.00 making the meal 10.99, since when is that half. I didn’t care to go back and for the with her because clearly there was a barrier and she didn’t understand or she wanted to make certain that they got their money. It is really my fault because when I tasted the salsa I knew there was going to be a problem as it tasted like nothing.

Having been in customer service for over 20 years this would have been a no brainer to not charge the customer, however they wanted their profit so they charged me…. The manager has to learn better skills to rectify situations as such.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent dining experience at your establishment. During my meal on 8/23/2025 I discovered a large insect – what appeared to be a roach – in my dessert. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, she insisted it was a piece of chocolate, despite the clearly visible legs and the unsettlingly crunchy texture. I find this response both unacceptable and deeply concerning.

The presence of a roach in my dessert is a significant health hazard and indicates a serious lack of hygiene in your kitchen. This is not simply a matter of a minor inconvenience; it represents a failure to maintain basic food safety standards and poses a potential risk of illness to your patrons. I am deeply disturbed by the manager’s dismissive and frankly unbelievable attempt to explain away such a blatant violation of food safety regulations. Her response lacked professionalism and demonstrated a lack of concern for my well-being and the safety of other customers.

I expect a prompt and thorough investigation into this matter, including a review of your kitchen’s sanitation practices and staff training protocols. I also request a full refund for my meal. I hope to receive a sincere apology and assurances that steps are being taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. I will be considering further action if I am not satisfied with your response.

Came here for a birthday dinner! I thought the food was pretty good, but my overall rating was lowered due to poor service from our waiter. At first, he was attentive as we placed our orders. I ordered the steak fajitas, and the other two in my party got their meals without issue.

However, when he brought my dish, it was seafood instead of steak. When I pointed this out, he insisted I had ordered seafood. Even after the others confirmed I had ordered steak, he gave me the dirtiest look and just stood there as if I might change my mind. He then went to complain to another waiter right in front of me. After that incident, he hardly checked on our table.

Overall, the food was good, but the way he handled the situation was very disappointing.

Joined family for a first visit to Margaritas. It’s more pricey than the current online menu advertises. The queso was excellent. Salsa was good, heavy on onion for those who may need to know. Steak tacos were very good. They were heavy on cilantro so I’d ask for less or none next time. Place was packed which understandably affected service a bit. Great atmosphere and good food.

We went there almost at closing time around 9 30. Didn’t expect much. But the food blew us away. It was pretty satisfying. We were a group of 4 and ordered 4 different dishes. The taco salad was absolutely tasty, all he juices form the chicken mixed together. And chimichanga came with a huge burrito and beans and rice. I ordered Pollo mtamoros. This came with a beautifully smoked and grilled chicken slice with mushrooms and peppers with the side of beans and rice. They also keep redilling the chips with the salsa dip. The smell of smoke when you bite into is like beautiful sensation for your mouth itself. We got 4 drinks without knowing it’s refillable any no of times. Overall it was a great way to end the day after a long walk at shelby farms.

Front doors were filthy. Needed to be cleaned horribly bad. Didn’t see on the way in or probably wouldn’t have eaten there. The lady that waited on us was very attentive however. Food was average. Probably won’t be going back.

The food was good and the service was good. It looks small from the outside but there is plenty of space in the inside. I had the Pollo Bravo which was good. My wife had the chicken and shrimp that was in a loaded pineapple and it was good. The salsa and chips were good. You save money if you pay with cash instead of a card. There are several shops and restaurants in the area so parking may be limited. I recommend this location and we will be back again.
