I went here for lunch in down town New Brunswick. I wish they had. Better heating system bc it was freezing inside and I wa shopping to warm up since it wa freezing outside too. Anyways, I ordered basically all there vegetarian options in tacos and decided to order the tostada I think. I would give all of the tacos an 8/10, but the mixed vegetable one was the best. Cactus was ok. I don’t really understand how they wrapped it because the second you you undo the wrapping all the food falls out. Kind of hard if you don’t. Have a big mouth. The tostada is really hard to eat but it tasted good. Overall, Mexican food is generally not that good for vegetarians since there’s not a lot of options and the flavor generally lacks. But that’s unfair to give this place a bad review. It’s a bit expensive since I paid almost 20$ for 4 items and portions are small.

My partner and I tried Mr. Tacos for the first time this summer, and we are absolutely hooked on their Birria tacos. Even though everything is pricey, the food is so flavorful and fresh. They also have really nice tortilla chips and a self-serve sauce and garnish station. Parking is on the street, but it’s well worth it for a visit!!

Weekday Review:
Great tacos with bold flavors especially the carne asada and al pastor. Small spot, best to go on a weekday or earlier in the day. Loved the toppings bar (radishes, lime, cucumber with salt & lime) and the salsa options. Easy ordering with self-serve kiosk and rewards system. Metered parking.
Weekend Review:
DISAPPOINTING experience. Food was cold even for dine-in, Mexican rice wasn’t good, radishes looked almost spoiled, and meat was very hard. Would not recommend visiting on weekends possibly a different cook.

The food OMG it’s amazing. To be honest I Hate eating at Mexican restaurants cause I’m Mexican & I feel like the food flavor just don’t hit like it should in America but the quesadilla I ate here wow it was very flavorful. I definitely recommend. The place was a bit dirty to be honest didn’t like that much but I will still go back & get food.

Place is great, probably the best Mexican food place on college ave. Price is reasonable, and the food is all cooked fresh right there (order ahead if you’re in a rush). All the ingredients are fresh and well seasoned. Even the tortillas are made fresh there. There’s also a side bar for self serve salsa and condiments (limes, radish, cucumbers, roasted peppers) which is neat. The lengua was super tender, would highly recommend!

The place is good for the location a lot of traffic. The service is self service on a kiosk. The kitchen busy and the food good. I had the tacos de lengua super soft, al pastor tacos, and carnitas. Again the food was good worth trying again but lacking a little flavor. The Al pastor was hit and miss in different bites. The torta was good same as the tacos missing a little flavor but nothing salt couldn’t fix. And the juices were good. Looking forward to my next visit for sure. Worth a try.

2025 Nov 6: A tad bit pricey but worth it. I liked their counter of fresh cucumber, radish, limes, fried roasted green & red chilies, with three salsas on increasing levels of hotness. Tacos wereade with freshest ingredients & only thing missing was fresh cilantro on the counter (very expensive to offer like that). Computer Ordering system was great with member benefits.

Disappointed to say my order was messed up and the service did not suffice.
Went here with one other person and we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time. Ordered a burrito bowl with Carne Asada and it was a quick service. Eager to eat after driving all the way back home and ready to dig in the meal, I was disappointed to see no meat within the bowl and it was just rice with lettuce on top of the chip bowl. I contacted the restaurant to inform them of the mistake, but the response I received was far from satisfactory. There was no accommodation for this order and given we were the only patrons there should not be a mistake. There was no offer of an alternate resolution, and the issue was treated a minor inconvenience, even though it disrupted my day and routine significantly. They mentioned to arrive back to the establishment so they can add the meat on top. Declined as it was an inconvenience to my routine, I was left in dismay. To add to my disappointment, I was merely told to mention this error on my next visit.
Unfortunately I am hesitant to return as this experience has left me felt undervalued as a customer. The expectations for service and quality were not met.

I have been here twice now this week and I am addicted. The best al pastor taco I have probably ever had in my life. Such friendly staff and such amazing, fresh food. I would recommend to anyone.
