Fantastic Italian restaurant full of cozy, old-world charm. The ambiance, the service, and the food were all perfect. It’s a bit of a hidden gem in a neighborhood with flashier, trendier restaurants, but it’s definitely worth a try if you’re in the neighborhood.

Best little one-woman kitchen Italian restaurant on Passyunk. BYOB. Love the intimate atmosphere and delicious food. Great for date night. Maria is incredible!

The absolute best service I’ve ever had in a restaurant! “The Martino Girls” are kind, attentive, thoughtful, and the food is really amazing. Thank you ladies for a wonderful night out, we can’t wait to come back for your next pop-up!

The restaurant was half full when we arrived. Is a cash only BYOB. The air conditioning is either malfunctioning or non existent. The owner was very nice and our server was ok but the food came out very slowly. Portions were a bit small. The veal tortellini in blue cheese red sauce was easy to eat but I couldn’t discern the cheese flavor.

My family loves this restaurant. The owner has always been there, he visits the tables and chats briefly but enough to make you feel welcome, and always GENUINELY smiling. The food is good, small portions but enough to be filling, not overly full. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, authentically 19th century Philly and inviting. The menu is limited but has a smattering of standards plus a few not-so-standard items. The bread is from Faragalli’s bakery in So Philly and just wonderful !! Make a reservation because you’ll need it.

A great, cozy and quaint Italian spot. I felt like a guest at a family friend’s house. The sauces are incredible. It’s a BYO restaurant, but the prices are somehow still very reasonable ($10-$15 for an entree). What a deal!

I wanted to give my husband the true Philadelphia experience and thanks to an awesome recommendation from a friend we made it to Mr. Martino’s. It’s cozy, friendly, and the food is delectable. We shared the polenta and portable and the ricotta appetizers plus risotto and lasagna. It was all so good – and the atmosphere is very homey. You won’t be disappointed – but do BYOB from The Bottle Shop down the street.
