Mr. Martinos is easily my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Maybe anywhere. It is uniquely special in how it is run. The interior is a time capsule and is the cherry on top for the dining experience. The food, delicious. The menu, simple while still having a great variety. The staff, wonderful. Truly a hidden gem.

This place was as magical as we had hoped. The atmosphere is like noplace I have been in Philly before. The staff were incredible and seemed to sincerely enjoy being a part of this place. It really felt like we were getting a glimpse of something special that won’t be there forever.

I don’t give out this low of a review lightly. The service and atmosphere were excellent however the food was simply put bland. Of the 8 dishes we had only one had enough seasoning, the Octopus was solid. We got out for $50/head so that was a plus at least.

Really beautiful place! Nice service! But the food is just not good. There is nothing special about the menu and every dish we ordered was very bland like completely unseasoned. The portions are very small on top. We don’t understand the hype at all.

Fantastic Italian restaurant full of cozy, old-world charm. The ambiance, the service, and the food were all perfect. It’s a bit of a hidden gem in a neighborhood with flashier, trendier restaurants, but it’s definitely worth a try if you’re in the neighborhood.

Best BYOB small one-woman kitchen Italian restaurant on Passyunk. They have been on the block for 30+ years. Love the intimate atmosphere and delicious food. Great for date night. Go with people you like to talk to and bring a bottle or two of wine. Usually there for 2-2.5 hrs!

**Open for pop ups on the weekend usually once a month (with a summer hiatus). Keep an eye on their Instagram page! Tables go quick.
