We decided to eat local while in town. Worst decision.
I’ll start with the good parts. Our waitress, Riley, was super sweet and a great waitress. The grilled chicken salad was good.
The Philly was terrible. Meat on half the sandwich and a slice of yellow cheese. Worst Philly by far.
The chicken quesadillas were by far the driest I’ve ever had. Was supposed to come with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and salsa. There was 3 snippets of tomatoes, no salsa. I had to ask for it to even make it moist enough to swallow.
The wings were okay, not terrible but not great like some of these other reviews.
The fries… I honestly have no words. The Philly and wings came with fries but they should have just charged us and thrown them right in the garbage. Why was there a pile of seasoning on 4 fries?! I’m assuming to cover up the staleness.
We waited almost an hour for the worst dinner we have had in ages.
We did let the waitress know our thoughts and she did not act surprised. We did not want a discount or anything, just to simply make them aware.
We should have just went next door to McDonalds or subway.

Decided to give this place a try and glad we did. Had their wings and upgraded to a side salad which was a good size. The food was awesome and our server who said she has been there for 20 years was fantastic. They give Military discount as well. 5 $$ sorry no pic of wings, we were hungry!

Tonight was my first visit to Mr Chubby’s at Crystal Springs. The service and food was amazing . My chicken quesadilla came out really crisp and delicious. I have yet to find a place to cook it with such perfection . The server was very kind and attentive to my allergies . Also even though they were busy the food was still served hot and fresh . The manager Anthony introduced himself and even gave recommendations of their wings . I go to a lot of restaurants and this one is one of my tops . They have many activities and specials throughout the week too . I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back .

My husband said his potato dippers were very good except the beer cheese was like water. The beer cheese with my pretzels was the same way. The pretzels tasted like garlic bread on the outside and just plain bread on the inside. Very little salt. Not something I’ll repeat.

Went there for my kid’s birthday, it was pretty great. The atmosphere was very friendly and not only was the staff super friendly and helpful but the people around us were too, which was nice with my kids being in a celebratory mood ! The food was really good, though the barbeque wings had a lot of zing when asked for mild, but tolerable.. and the KO wings that the birthday kid asked for said weren’t very spicy at all.. but all in all, a very good experience, had lots of fun and laughter. Was not disappointed one bit!

12-13-25 Update from previous review below: ordered well done burger to go. 30 min drive home, burger not cooked to request. Called MGR on duty, he asked to bring burger back for remake. Explained distance, asked for a credit, he was unable to make decision, requested GM to call me when working. Didn’t get call or possibly missed it. Dang they were my new favorite restaurant after long work week and a long drive home.(see pic) some ppl like pink in their burger, not me!!!
Food to go late Sat before closing. Perfect wings, burger, fries, and service!!! Hope this is the standard, WILL BE BACK!!!

Let me start by saying atmosphere is very nice….Thats all the nice things I am going to say. NOT for family and service is terrible. Went in before rush hour for dinner took them like 10 minutes just to notice us. Waitress took the order so far so good. Brought out one of the 2 kids food and my food. Waited like 10 more minutes and they brought the wife’s food out. We still were waiting on my 5 year olds food and had to remind her what we had ordered. 20 minutes past and finally the five year old received her food. If we ordered together we would like to eat together. Food is sub par and would give 5 stars to McDonald’s before I give this establishment any other. Surprised they have 3 stars but maybe thats those that go to watch sports and drink beer and think the food is good.

What a lucky find! While spending one evening in Jacksonville on business, I spotted the location on my way to the hotel just behind it. It was so close I could have walked there. I arrived early, and it was College Championship Night. I was seated quickly, offered 2-for-1 Yuengling Beer, ordered a bunch of wings, and they were delivered so fast, I couldn’t believe it. It was a great evening. I was traveling solo, so I didn’t hang around, but I really wanted to get back to the hotel to watch the game. However, I will definitely return to this location if I get another Jacksonville assignment.

This is the 2nd time coming to this restaurant after a couple years hiatus and both times the service has been poor. Time from getting your drinks to your food, approximately 30-35 minutes, the service is non-existent so get 2 drinks because you won’t get refills. Both recent times I’ve ordered the wings and the flavor is good but the wing size and quality isn’t very good and both times I’ve only ever gotten 1 or 2 flats total, the rest drums, out of maybe 30. I guess they’re saving those for someone else. We will probably go somewhere else from now on.

Lacey, Eden, Paris, Kaylee, Cade and Madi are excellent bartenders and servers. Brandon and Anthony are outstanding Managers and have Excellent attitudes! The “Chubby Style” and “Sweet Thai Chili” Wings are the best and the BLT is Excellent! The Chicken Caesar Salad is Yummy and the PBR beer is ice cold! Great Place with Great People.
