For his birthday, he insisted that we come together, and I’m so glad we did. I was truly blown away by the entire experience. The atmosphere was beautiful and instantly felt like home. As I looked over the menu, I admired how thoughtfully and creatively it was put together especially how the chef/owner included beautiful food photos
Into the menu which added such a meaningful and unique touch.
Shortly after browsing the menu, we were attended to with exceptional care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuine, making us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. Every dish we ordered was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with passion and pride.
This place is more than just a restaurant it’s an experience. From the ambiance to the food to the hospitality, everything exceeded expectations. We will absolutely be returning and recommending this gem to everyone we know. Thank you for making Derrick’s birthday so special!
Overall, everything we ordered was good. The hot chicken eggs Benedict was flavorful, though we felt the hollandaise was a bit light. The lemon berry French toast leaned more toward a lemon spread rather than a stuffed preparation, which was different than we expected. We would have loved a bit more lemon curd, as it tasted more like classic brioche French toast with a light lemon topping.
The chicken itself was seasoned perfectly with a great crisp. We ordered the level 3 (medium) heat, and while it had some kick, it seemed that higher heat levels are achieved more through added sauce than seasoning in the crust, which was a slight disappointment—we prefer the heat baked into the coating rather than added afterward.
The atmosphere is cozy, friendly, and beautifully decorated to match the season. A special touch was the owner walking around to greet every table and ask if guests were celebrating anything—something you don’t see often and really appreciate. The tomato soup and grilled cheese are a must-try. We also loved that the menu includes plated photos of the dishes, and the presentation across the board was excellent—plating was easily a 5/5.
We would absolutely return, and if this concept ever expanded into a brick-and-mortar or added dinner service, it would do very well.
The people themselves make all the difference here too! The team was very accommodating and put so much attention to a food allergy in my party, even coming to our table twice after ordering to confirm a few things just to make sure she was safe.
All this and the place had such a carefully curated homey pretty cute vibe. This will be a place to recommend whenever friends and family come to visit Houston. They make you feel welcomed home.
Truly a rare place !
The ambiance is just as amazing as the food. From the moment you walk in, it feels like home. The décor is beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. One of my favorite touches was how they personalize each table by placing your name on it when you’re seated which instantly makes the experience feel special and welcoming.
The owner and chef, Lori, is an absolute joy. She personally goes around greeting each table and truly connects with her guests. When I mentioned my keto lifestyle, she took the time to share helpful advice on how to maintain it, which meant so much to me. Her warmth and passion shine through, and it’s easy to see why Harvest has such an incredible reputation and has been loved by the community for so many years.
I will definitely be back!
I ordered the Mango Tango Chicken Tostada and Chai Tea Latte. Both 5/5!
The ambience is pretty chill, but you can also bring a family or a group. They just don’t have very large tables.
It was our first visit, and it definitely won’t be our last! We arrived around 8:25 a.m. on a Saturday and the line had already started. We hopped on the waitlist and were promptly seated once the doors opened.
Since it was my birthday brunch, I ordered the quiche and a waffle, while my husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy along with the French toast. Everything was delicious–the waffle had a sugar pearl topping that was over the top, the crustless quiche was perfectly flavorful, the biscuits and gravy were rich and hearty, and the French toast was simply yummy!
Chef Lori stopped by our table to wish me a happy birthday and even gave me the cutest tiara to celebrate. She and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and personable–such a thoughtful touch that made the experience extra special.
The atmosphere is charming and cozy, perfect for a ladies’ brunch or a relaxed couples’ breakfast.
Wonderful service, lovely ambiance, and great food–we’ll definitely be back! Thank you Chef Lori for making our first experience here a magical one.
My first time here was truly an experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The wait time was absolutely worth it — the quality of the food speaks for itself. Every bite was packed with wonderful flavor, and the prices were very fair for what you get.
A special highlight was meeting Chef Lori herself! She came out to say hello and even recommended her favorite dish at the time, which turned out to be fantastic. It’s clear she puts heart and soul into the menu.
Would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommend!
