If you’re in the mood for a delicious burger and a cold beer, Mountaineers Taphouse is definitely worth a visit! The cheeseburger was fantastic – juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself has a great vibe, with a cozy atmosphere and plenty of seating options. However, because it’s such a popular spot, the service can be a bit slow when it’s busy. But, it’s well worth the wait for the food and drinks. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the prices are very reasonable. Don’t miss out on this gem – Mountaineers Taphouse is a must-visit in the area!

What happened to the nice bartenders? The new blonde needs some training on customer service. She needs to be taught to stay off her phone while talking to customers. Get rid of her salty attitude. And be friendly. We have been coming to the Tap House for four years, we need to find a new hangout if the blond doesn’t figure out how to treat customers.

Awesome beer special tonight. Can’t beat $1 for a nice porter. Great variety of beers on tap. Food was good although didn’t come out as expected (appetizer after main) and the kitchen did miss one of our entree items so that took extra time. Server was nice and attentive.

Terrible experience. We went there during the “6-9” Tuesday special w/ $3 rail drinks. Well after my S/O finished her first one she wanted another one, around 8:50, but because the place was relatively empty the one employee working simply disappeared until 9:02 when she came out from the back, and immediately we asked for another but it was ‘too late’. In addition to this we ordered fries, and when asked if they come with anything (ketchup, etc.) no, any condiment you might want for an order of french fries is extra! Okay. Then imagine my ‘not so surprised’ face at the end when I learned that a SMALL draft beer costs $8. I never leave reviews but I felt that this place really deserved one. I won’t be back.

The vegan options at Tap House expanded a lot since last year! They have vegan cheese for burgers and pizza, three milkshake flavors, and other dishes like seitan lettuce wraps. My impossible burger was one of the best I’ve had at a restaurant. The only down side is that the vegan cheese is an extra $4 and a personal vegan pizza is almost $20. For these prices, I’d expect a super high quality dish, bigger portions, or free sides.

Went for a birthday dinner because we wanted to support local business. Service was SLOW. Food came out cold and undercooked also brought my dog as they have outdoor seating and we’re very rude and told us there was no dogs allowed. They made me take my dot home before giving us a table. I decided to give them another try about a year later for their happy hour. Drink selection was very small. There was also a non service dog in the restaurant ? Not sure if they changed their rules or were just being rude towards me. Either way, they lost a customer with me l. DO NOT GO

Food was pretty good but we found the prices pretty high, especially for a college campus. Our waitress also seemed more interested in flirting with the younger patrons from behind the bar than tending closer to our needs. It was clean with some outdoor balcony seating and seemed like a fun atmosphere for younger people.
