This was our 3rd visit here. Our 1st visit was probably over 1 yr ago, and we weren’t impressed with the service at that time. We decided to give them another try because we love and miss eating Thai food! (We tried the nearby Asian Bistro’s Thai food, but it was not authentic tasting.)
This visit we shared #28 & 29 and both were great tasting. The spicy heat level was perfect, hot but not too hot. We had curry and Pad Thai for our 2nd visit, and both were very good. They also offer 3 beers on tap. The food tasted fresh. Portions are good size, not huge, but we ended up with leftovers to take home. They asked if we wanted dessert, but we were full.
Their chairs have wheels, so you have to be careful because they roll quickly. This place is definitely a small business, not high class. Don’t go here if you’re in a hurry. The atmosphere is laid back. Visit when you have time to sit back and put your phones away.

Tonight we ordered the summer rolls and a #12 Kao Pahdt. The summer rolls were so fresh and come with an amazing peanut sauce. The Kao Pahdt was unreal, the best fried rice I’ve ever had. The food had so much flavor and tasted like it was made with love. We are long time customers. This place always hits.

GREAT Thai food! And the heat of the spice was amazing. Made me sweat but such a great taste. I had deep fried Tofu and I think that is my new favorite way to eat it. Very clean.

I wouldn’t bother posting a review if horrible service was the only bad experience. But when you order 6 different dishes and all are bad. I just had to. We ordered a variety of 6 different dishes and 3 appetizers. All 6 dishes including Pha, where not good. The size of the egg rolls and spring rolls were impressive and taste fine.

This is my family’s favorite restaurant. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is calming. We like to sit on the patio in good weather. In all the times we have come to Mountain Thai, we have always had delicious food. We love this place!

The staff here was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. It appears that they do have public WiFi but you need to ask for the password The curry chicken was absolutely one of the best that I’ve ever had. My only complaint is that the nice was not traditional Jasmine Thai rice but rather a cheaper shorter grain rice and at a double digits price point this is unacceptable. The beef Thai LoMein was all right but the cooking of the beef was inconsistent from piece to piece which again should not occur at this price point. Overall it was a good experience and knowing what I know now I would cook my own long grain Jasmine rice and get the curry chicken to go without any rice. That would be the perfect plate but for the price I shouldn’t have to cook my own Thai fragrant rice to experience a traditional plate.

Usually you do not go wrong with Thai food or Thai restaurants and I have been to many across Arizona. But I feel sorry to say that this place was really disappointing food wise and considering it was the only thai place around. We ordered a “garlic prawn” as appetizer which when served I saw was just bunch of boiled prawns with some sauce thrown and few cucumbers to the side. It still had the raw taste! When I returned it, I could hear the nice older lady yell at returning a food we did not like. We ate a little of the fried rice and pad see ew and had to leave without eating most of it. I think they have to try a good thai restaurant and discover what a decent thai food tastes like.

So tasty and very authentic!! A Thai lady cooks in the kitchen and she knows what she’s doing. The spice levels in the menu are accurate. I ordered chicken panang (which is one of my favorite dishes). It said it was very spicy. That is absolutely true!! But it was so good. I probably could have mentioned to them to do it at just “spicy” but either way I survived and loved it!!
They have other things typical of Asia – boba tea, fried egg rolls (handmade with shrimp and was SOOO good), Thai tea, etc. It’s so good!!
They’re going on a vacation soon and opening in Dec. Check the website. But I would love to eat here again!! It was delicious!

Portions were small.
Ordered red curry fried rice and lo mein. Fried rice was horrible and mushy not thoroughly cooked at all. I did let the waitress know and asked for just a side of white rice since we couldn’t eat it. From past experiences when the food is not good and barely touched, usually they take it off the bill or ask if you’d like anything else to replace it. I wasn’t asked or told anything I figured she would automatically take it off the bill. In my opinion that’s bad customer service. Vegetable Lo mein was ok barely any vegetables red curry was ok.
(Pictured is “fried” rice and a the plate lo mein had been on where I put some rice to taste.)
