We stopped in for a quick lunch after a tour of UCB. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. I had the vegan chili, which was delicious, and my son had a burger that he really enjoyed. I also tried their house pilsner—excellent as well! Just a heads-up: they are cash-only.

Decided to hit this MSPB, and made a good choice.
We ordered Bison Burger, Classic Burger, SOB Burger and all had home fries and chips n salsa.
All burgers were spot on as ordered and loved my Bison Burger… when in Colorado right!! Fries were soooo good, can’t beat fresh cut home fries.
Chips all made fresh – salsa was very mild.. ordered a side of the roasted hatch chilies to add, but still didn’t have much kick. They did have a hot sauce as well, but we like it hot hot – so if you like mild this is for you.
Food, Service, Atmosphere – ALL VERY GOOD!!! We would come back here for sure on our next visit.

Was honestly pretty disappointed. The wait staff was excellent and attentive, but it was very expensive for what we got. Mom and I split a steak sandwich with very minimal steak in it. Her margarita was poorly mixed. And we got a flight of beer tasters which ended up being incredibly expensive as well. Left feeing unsatisfied.

Just the service alone here was absolutely amazing. Seriously the best I’ve probably ever had! Free samples of beer and the server even gave us fries on the house. The environment was so welcoming and we absolutely loved it. My fiancé said the bison burger was 10/10.

Mountain Sun is reliably excellent. Good beer, good food, good service, friendly people. It’s not a 5-star establishment, but it’s a place that keeps drawing you back. I will always be up for going there, as long as I’m in town. I’m giving it 5 stars because there is rarely a hitch in the service you get there.

Everyone working here that we met was so friendly. Great service! Paintings on the walls, creatures hanging from the ceilings.
Credit cards aren’t accepted but they do accept cash and checks. Very loud because it’s very popular. We were there on Friday, June 9, 2023. And just as we left, it looked like a live band was coming in.
The food was good. I ordered the junk burger and fries. Didn’t get a chance to try their chips.

Great vibe here! Our server Annabelle was super friendly and very attentive. We tried the S.O.B burger and the seasonal spring salad both were tasty. Burger had a bit of kick but not too spicy. Had a special stout which was basically the peanut butter and jelly stout. Peanut butter and chocolate stout mixed with the raspberry wheat beer… Very tasty.

I have always loved the mountain sun for so many reasons. The staff are always friendly, the food great and prices are reasonable. The problem during our past two visits was the final bill. We were there to see my son’s band play and were with a lot of friends. Somehow 15-16 people’s food and drinks all ended up on our bill. We had a $600 bill with no way of knowing exactly who else was on our tab. With it being cash only, getting $600 from the atm involved using two different accounts to get that much cash. It was a stressful way to end the evening and this was the second time this year that we had this happen. Please figure out a better system for large groups.
