I usually refrain from giving 5 stars yet this place takes the cake.
The staff is very friendly to locals and visitor, knowledgeable about their menu, and provide a hearty, caring experience to their guest. The kitchen manager came out to check on the food personally and the servers made genuine recommendations that did not disappoint.
My sister and I were visiting Yosemite for 3days and there is no need to shop around the other restaurants. Their portions are big and the prices fair, their menu has a good variety, and the desserts are homemade with love and care. I recommend the lemon cheesecake and carrot cake.
They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, whatever time of day you arrive to town you will find a good meal to fuel your day or help you recover after being outdoors! I will be returning!!

An outstanding place to eat especially if you’re really hungry. Not only is the food delicious but the quality and quantity is outstanding. And the price? Very reasonable given what you’re getting. The fish and chips for $22 gets you 8 pieces of great fish and potatoes of your choice! We got mashed loaded and it was enough 3! It also came with a side and we got steamed vegetables which was great AND a cup of soup which was also big!!! We got pozole and this place knows Pozale as it came with onions, cabbage, and cilantro! The last time we had Pozale this good was in Mexico!! We also ordered a salad and a bowl of chili which was also perfection. It just seemed like every dish was thoughtfully prepared to perfection! It was our favorite place during our week vacation from Death Valley to Yosemite by far!!! This place is a treasure and a must visit for anyone in the vicinity of Yosemite!!

Big portions, great prices, and tasty food — definitely feels like a cozy, family-style restaurant. The clam chowder was really good. My medium steak came out a bit overcooked, and a couple of the chicken wings weren’t fully done, but they immediately remade the whole dish for us and even helped pack it to go. Super friendly service overall.

Service is top TEIR, their HOT coco IS TOP TEIR. Their pecan FRENCH TOAST IS FIRE. Seating was nice and spacious. They’re very welcoming. I ordered a ribeye and egg with potatoes but I think I still got hashbrowns lol. Either way it was all fire!! I’d definitely come back to this breakfast spot whenever I find my way back in oakhurst! Also they have a big American flag in the dining area and I absolutely love that! Not to mention all the beautiful pictures of old skool cars on the wall! It’s a nice area to the intersection lights work very well! There is more than enough parking as well!

My husband and I had dinner here last night and it was amazing! We got the fried zucchini as an appetizer and we got 8 huge pieces of zucchini and ranch to dip, they were amazing! I got the club sandwich and a side salad my club didn’t just have regular lunch meat turkey and ham either. The meat was hand sliced off of an ham and the turkey off of a roasted turkey breast. My husband got the fried fish. The fish came with 8 big pieces, salad, fries and a veggies. Our waitress Amanda was so kind and cheerful and informative. My husband and I wished we lived closer because we would definitely be back to try more on the menu!

Came in for lunch on a weekday and was surprised at how busy it was! I was surprised that the resturant had a full bar. I had a lunch portion of the fish and chips and 4 pieces of fish came with mine. My partner had the dinner portion of fish and chips and there were 8 pieces of fish. Needless to say, we had enough for dinner too. We also shared onion rings and they were awesome! The dining area and restrooms were clean. Staff was super friendly.

We went last Saturday for breakfast and we were just so thrilled with not only the food but the service was fantastic. We got a table right away, outside was so nice we sat in the patio area. We both had the Crab cakes Benedict and I got home fries potatoes. The portions were very generous and again I can’t express enough how kind and sweet was the staff was. We will definitely be making more trips there, the food was delicious and the prices were really fair.

What an awesome place. We stopped in for dinner after being on the road all day. We were seated immediately and drinks came in a flash. The menu is extensive and affordable. We both ordered the Tri-tip dinner. It was delicious and the portions were generous. Our waiter was attentive. Highly recommended

We stopped by Mountain Oaks Cafe on our way to Bass Lake and were blown away. The Tri-Tip Sandwich was absolutely incredible… tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. Honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The California Burger was solid, and the clam chowder was creamy without being overly salty or fishy. Cozy vibe and great food. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
