Went on a Thursday evening…Not busy at all …Ordered the Roan Mountain Special…Six bacon-wrapped large shrimp on a skewer, grilled and a half rack of pork ribs with 3 sauces to taste…Came with two sides and rolls, honey butter.
The ribs were meaty and HUGE…(a little dry, but GOOD!)…The slaw was delicious and the broccoli was good (large portion).
Devoured the shrimp***Delicious***, broccoli and slaw…ate bit of pork and the rest was boxed up…Get the cream pecan pie and a cup of coffee too! All so delicious and the wait staff are all helpful, courteous and friendly!
“Down Home” country atmosphere with country themed items displayed and country music playing softly in the background.
Very large restaurant…I will go back.

Hidden Gem near Burnsville and Spruce Pine, NC! The restaurant has so much character and the food is amazing. Try the Cedar Salmon…insanely good flavor. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Forgot to get pics of the food LOL. I’ll be back!

This was the best restaurant we went to when we were down in North Carolina. The bread and butter AMAZING. The steak even better!!! Ribs were great too. I wish we had one in our home state. I would eat here every week if I lived in NC

I’ve had the pleasure of dining here about 10 times over the past several years and have never been disappointed. The food is first rate, the staff is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. The homemade desserts are not to be missed too! Treat yourself here, you deserve it!

We arrived about half an hour before opening and were first in line, with several others lining up behind us. The anticipation was well worth it! We ordered the Ribeye and the T-bone—both were absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and truly satisfying. Highly recommend this place if you’re a steak lover!

My mother wanted to the family to go to Mountain Holler Steakhouse for her birthday. We hardly ever eat out because my hubby and sons have severe gluten intolerance (celiac). I am so thankful to say we all had amazing tasty meals and no one had a reaction. They ordered ribs, beef tips, and mountain holler shrimp. – All were gluten free. I am so grateful to know we can safely eat at this delicious and adorable local restaurant. THANK YOU MOUNTAIN HOLLER!

6 of us went for Valentine’s dinner. The wait was 45 minutes but worth it. It opens from 4pm -9pm. It’s one of our favorite restaurants. Food, service, and atmosphere are always excellent. They have an efficient, well liked, and utilized takeout for the locals.
I love the Mountain Holler Medallion dish with 3 filet mignon medallions (tender) covered with onions, peppers, and cheese topped with 4 grilled shrimp. The rib-eye steak was also excellent (a best seller). We took food home in order to enjoy their homemade desserts (apple dumplings & cheesecake).

We stopped by late on a Thursday and the parking lot was full, we were seated quickly and our server Summer was incredible! She went above and beyond! She checked on us often enough we never had to flag her down, while still allowing us to enjoy our meal in peace! The food was delicious, the meat cooked exactly how my Husband and I asked.

This restaurant was a home run. We were out of town visiting the mountains and they were trying to find a good place to eat. Started looking online came across this on Google maps it had a good ratings and they were 100% backed up when we went. Our waitress was the best waitress I’ve ever had, hands down. Every single item we ordered was amazing and the price was spot on for what I order and I felt. Well 100% go back if we visit this spot again in the mountains.
