I made a purchase for the holiday totaling 75.00. Included salmon bites including two sides, 20 piece chicken with two large sides and a smothered Turkey chop dinner. The god was horrible. You could tell that half of the chicken was fresh and the other half tasted old. The salmon bites had no flavor and tasted as if it was fried in chicken grease. The macaroni and cheese looked to be made from a box with no flavor and watery. The yams was all liquid, how is that even possible. Last but not least they forget the greens. Oh yeah and the BBQ fries was so bad the dog didn’t even want them. Shame on you

High quality meat selection. Fabulous deli! Lots of Michigan sourced items. Service is top rate. They are our first choice! I like their Red Potato Salad most of all. The place is kept very clean. It is a pleasant place to visit and shop. Their meats are fresh and they offer prime cuts at amazing prices. Parking is easy to get to and the shop itself is easy in and easy out.

Do not get the Jerk Chicken!! It was trash!! The rice was mushy and it didn’t look appealing at all. It looked and tasted like heavily spicy seasoned baked chicken, nothing jerk about it. Very disappointed…. On the other hand, the rib tips and sides were decent. I had the yams and baked beans.

Fives across the board. I’ve passed this place many times but wasn’t sure if it was only a raw meat pick up place. Today I noticed the grill earlier in the day so decided to go here for dinner. The food was exceptional. We got the catfish dinner, jerk chicken, greens, string beans, dressing and cake. Everything was so good. I absolutely loved the dressing. Jerk chicken is usually hit or miss especially if it isn’t an authentic Jamaican restaurant however, their jerk was just right. I love the spice and herbs added on top. From a very picky eater and soul food lover I will definitely visit this place again!

Something has changed since previous visits and not for the good. I ordered a half slab/ half chicken dinner. My ribs were tough and my chicken was cut up and fried with barbecue sauce covering. I was expecting a half chicken in tact and barbecued. I live 40 minutes away and was very disappointed.

The rib tips are pretty good most of the time. But I love the gristle and most of the time I get mostly meat and a few small gristles no matter how much I ask them to include them. They will make it right if you return. The first time I bought chicken it was delicious but every time I give it a chance I have to take chicken back or just throw it away because it taste old..I remember one time my daughter and I got chicken sausages and she keep playing over the chicken… and she said dad I can’t eat this is nasty.

I have to say, I was throughly impressed with MotorCity Meats on vanborn just west of wayne rd. You would not expect it from it’s store front but, that’s what I get for judging a book by its cover. Very clean organized and the staff were absolutely fantastic. The meats, seafoods, cheeses, sauces, and deli selections were extensive. Pricing was amazing. Definitely worth every dime I spent.

I am very disappointed in my meal. First i called to make sure my order was right because i ordered through door dash it didnt allow me to add the sides i wanted. When my order came it had the wings no sides. Well just wasted money on door dash because i had to go pickup my sides. My daughter ordered a shrimp dinner no cocktail sause no cornbread and the shrimp wasnt done. My chicken wings were salty and the yams looked like doo had too much nutmeg. The mac and cheese was edible but we paid 50 bucks for some food that tasted like the owners took no pride in making.
