Got a chance to try Morty’s for the first time recently & it was everything I was hoping for. Hubby tried the homemade spicy mustard on the Maxwell Street smoked Polish sausage, it’s excellent, I went with yellow mustard on mine. Can’t wait to go back. Watch Morty’s FB, sometimes he posts special menu items & he will post if he’s closing early/not opening.

A great guy serving great food. As someone who worked two decades for a Chicago company, I got hooked on Chicago hotdogs and Italian beef sandwiches with spicy giardiniera. He’s the most authentic in KC. And he’s a disabled veteran. No one I’d rather give my money to.

I rarely eat hotdogs EVER but this place has THE best hotdog I’ve ever had period. I drove 80 miles one way 2 days in a row just to get one of his chicago all beef style hotdogs. I even bought an extra one and ate the next day cold and it was still good!! Definitely worth the drive! I’m not into spicy but I’m sure they are just as good as the regular I had.
