I’d like to be able to rate this better but i can’t. Hours say open until 10pm. I got there at 830 and was told the kitchen closes at 8:00. That would have been a nice bit of information to post, oh… right beside the hours maybe? Bartender made it a point to tell me all about how he’d be gone already if the few people there would just leave. This place appears to be yet another place that has cut services and reduced business hours post Covid. Gone are the days of serving the customer and appreciating their business

CASH ONLY just a heads up. Great service the staff was really nice and talkative. The burger was LEGIT it was very good and tasty. The fries are cut in house and served hot. You will go through some napkins so be ready for that. Highly recommend the Cheeseburger with Bacon it’s tastes very good and the bacon is thick. I will be back when I am on the area.

Awesome burgers and accessories. The only knock is after we got there at the appropriate interval we saw one cook and one grill who was just starting our order. So we hung out at the bar until everything was done. It was so worth the wait.

As always, great food! They had a very young lady cooking today, so I was a bit skeptical about how the food would be… it was spectacular! She may even be better than the normal cook! This is definitely the best place to eat in Ottumwa.

Jen and I really enjoy the burgers, fries and beer at Morgan’s. They were nominated as a finalist for the Iowa Burger of the Year in 2019, and I have to say they are one of our favorites. Tonight the special was a half pound cheeseburger and fries for $6! And that is only a buck or two off regular price. We ordered two, but couldn’t finish it all. The burgers are cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. This is great food. Yes, it has a bit of a “dive bar” feel, and the decor is very scewed to the black and yeller school, but we love this place, and will keep coming back! Hope you try it out. (Note – cash only, no credit cards.)
