So after getting some things at the farmers market I stopped into get a sandwich. I got the buttermilk chicken breast sandwich with a side of pintos. That sandwich is the real deal – the fried buttermilk batter was truly delicious. I also had a biscuit and cornbread side with apple butter. My waitress was so nice.

Second visit to the Moose Cafe. Our food was not as good as it was on our first visit. The Biscuits that come out at first, soft and fluffy. The biscuits in my hubby’s gravy and biscuits hard as rocks. My blueberry pancake had very few blueberries on top. The chessy hashbrown casserole was also not as good as the first visit. Will give it another chance. I did have perfect eggs.

Been coming here for 5+ years and always get the all you can eat breakfast which is a deal you can’t beat!! They have a wide variety of food to choose from and indoor/outdoor seating. Right by the farmers market, so you can walk off the calories you eat!

My wife and she’s never been here. She’s from Virginia and this is my hometown. The server Nautica C. was extremely pleasant and on point. We need more folks like her. The food is on point no disappointments. The only 2 things I frowned was it’s too noisy and the music . It was hard to carry on a conversation. Besides that it was great .

Hubs and I wanted to go to the farmers market and the Moose Cafe. When we lived in Greensboro/High Point we would come to the market and the Moose Cafe and both were awesome but we moved near Charlotte so we hadn’t been to the farmers market and Moose Cafe in about 2 years. The biscuits and apple butter were wonderful! The apple butter taste like Christmas! I ordered the meat loaf, mashed potatoes w/gravy and steamed cabbage. Now, I realize everyone makes their meatloaf differently but for the love of everything that’s holy, their meatloaf was like a huge mystery meat brick! Terrible. Had a Vienna Sausages in the can taste to it. Not cute. The mashed potatoes were decent and the steamed cabbage had no taste. The waitress was sweet and asked me if I wanted something else but I had lost my appetite. My husband got the breakfast with scrambled eggs, grits and country ham. He said his was ok.. maybe I ordered the wrong thing but we probably won’t be going back.

The food here has always been delicious. I used to get the all you can eat breakfast after building up an appetite walking around the farmers market vendors. However, all of their portions are sizable. I have since fallen in love with the homestyle fried chicken breakfast plate. You must get the hash brown casserole and try the gravy or apple butter on their large fluffy biscuits!

Food is great, tried the fried chicken, gravy, cornbread, beets, collards, sweet tea. Also had a fried chicken sandwich. The breading was a bit much for me, but still great fried chicken. Will probably come back and sample the breakfast. No issues with the service. Check them out.

I’ve eaten at the Asheville location and it is good but this location is larger and nicer IMO. My waitress was outstanding and attentive. My food was great. I’ll be back for sure.

While at the farmers market, we decided to try the Moose Cafe. Why? This was the worst breakfast food I have ever had. My husband order pancakes, which were cold. He also ordered a side of scrambled eggs. I ordered the “home fries” and scrabbled eggs. My mother-in-law order the breakfast platter. Well either we went on a bad day or this is their norm. We sent our half cooked eggs back and so did the other guest who was sitting in front of us. The sever was great. But the food would be a no for us.
