What a fun little spot!
Heads up, Google maps has trouble finding it because it is so new. So if it tells you that you are going to a field – it’s wrong. There is a building there now, and Moonstone is upstairs in that building!
Had a great time there with friends enjoying some bites and cocktails. It was comfy and cool..
Our server was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me pick a great drink. Definitely give it a shot if you want a vibey little cocktail spot. Great for girls night!

Friendly staff! Great drinks! Fun atmosphere! We went in with low expectations as this was just their 2nd day open. We did the bread service and the Cauliflower and Brussels Sprouts (forgot to snap a picture)! The Cauliflower and Brussels Sprouts were good, but could use some salt or a sauce to dip them in! The dish was also a little too greasy as it was fried! Maybe trying to soak up the grease and adding some salt will do wonders! For the drinks, we did The Humidor (good, but way too smoky for my liking), Moon Rock, and Moon Shadow (my favorite, but also forgot to snap a photo)! The staff was very attentive and asked for our opinions and how we liked everything as they want to do well! We will be back after they’ve been open for a bit to try some other things! Still worth the 5 stars for the drinks, atmosphere, and staff! 🙂

First and definitely not last time visiting Moonstone! Intimate aesthetic atmosphere, delicious cocktails and food! Dylan was super knowledgeable on the menu and his service was flawless. I was intrigued by the name and other reviews, it was definitely worth our time. Will 10/10 return!

Fantastic! I’m a meat and taters kind of guy. But the Moonstone menu really opened my mind to new flavors and combinations. How can mushroom tartar taste like pulled pork?? Definitely has some similarities! Atmosphere is laid back with vinyl music playing in the background. No preset songs. Just feel the vibes. Can’t wait to try it again!

Moonstone is fantastic! The food is delicious. Order the smoked tomato tartare, you won’t be disappointed! We tried a few dishes and were pleasantly surprised there were no misses. Every dish was thoughtful and intentional. The chef is doing a killer job! The dining room is gorgeous too. I am looking forward to visiting Moonstone again!

My wife and I went on their third day open. Really amazing drinks, superb service, and the food was also great (I didn’t even realize they did food when we made the reservations but we ended up trying a couple things that were both yummy). Beyond that, a highlight for me was the hi-fi sound system and full records being played.

Last night we tried this new luxurious unique experience at Moonstone KC.
Everything was exceptional from the moment we arrived, very cool comfortable vibe! The owner, Steve was so welcoming he took time to have genuine
conversations, it felt like we were in his home! We tried a specialty cocktail-Footprint, highly recommend, we ordered the beef tips and they were so tender! Don’t overlook the Smoked tomato & Mushroom Tartare it was incredible! We will definitely be returning! Would be an amazing spot for a private party or engagement, What guy wouldn’t want credit for proposing on the moon. J & G

Absolutely loved this place! Visiting from out of town and this was our first stop. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and the atmosphere lively and comfortable. We opted to sit at the bar and had great conversations with Dylan and Steve. They were genuinely friendly and attentive. They offer a great drink and food selection! Drinks were fantastic, I personally didn’t eat but my friends ordered food and absolutely loved it! It looked really good! Highly recommend this place for a great night out!

Ok, this place is so fun!!! We had a friend come in town, and on the way home from picking him up at the airport we made reservations to hang at Moonstone. What a treat! They are new, so get the word out, this place is a MUST GO! Walking in, the lighting is fun, and trippy, and the vibes are GOOD! Vinyl was spinning with Pink Floyd and the perfect level where we could talk to each other while still hearing the music! We opted to sit at the bar because we ended up being a little late and close to closing time so we wanted to try to be as respectful as possible. Dylan was our server/bartender and he was helpful, polite, and super fun! We chatted and learned all about the concept and he helped direct us on what to order on the menu. Drinks were delicious, and the food, OMG the food!! It was delicious! I am vegetarian and the fact that so many of their options were accommodating to that left me happy! I also think people that are not will still greatly enjoy the options as they are inventive, unique, but also familiar and comforting! We got the bread service, I got the smoked tomato and mushroom tartare, and the beet carpaccio. I can’t tell you how great they were in words adequate enough! My wife is not a vegetarian nor does she like mushrooms tried the tartare and said it was really good! She ordered the beef tips and said they were super yummy! We also got to meet the manager, Steve, and discussed his hospitality career and heard about his concept for the place, the food, and everything. It felt like we were at a private event, or in someone’s home! They both were so hospitable and fun to talk with! We had the best time, and even planned on going back the next night or the night after that, but then got busy with other plans so we didn’t get to make it back before our friend went back home, but, we will be back for sure! If I could give it more stars I would, this place needs to be known in KC!

The staff was great. They offer a great selection of spirits and the vibe is super chill on a winter Saturday night.
I didn’t my time here chatting with other patrons, sipping bourbon and taking in the amazing view of the river under the full moon, all while a choice vinyl track played in the background.
