A Hidden Gem in Oakmont PA with 10/10 Service & Coffee! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am a huge coffee lover—specifically espresso and dark roasts—and I always make it a point to support small businesses when I’m traveling. I am so glad I stopped at Moonbeam Café while passing through Pennsylvania last week! The chic, modern atmosphere is so inviting—it’s the kind of place you just want to hang out in.
***The Tiramisu Latte☕️ was phenomenal.*** It even comes with a biscotti perched on the lip of the cup for the perfect ‘coffee-dessert’ dunk! I’m usually very picky and don’t like overly sweet drinks, but the woman who helped me was incredibly patient and descriptive. She actually tweaked the recipe based on my personal flavor profile—adding extra espresso, going light on the syrup and substituting oak milk, making it customized to my personal taste preference. It was PERFECT.
Beyond the coffee, the hospitality was next-level. Even though I live in Illinois, she treated me like a local regular. She even let my Yorkshire Terrier (Sgt. Pepper) wait inside with me and offered him a pup cup! (Yes this is a pet friendly Café!!! ☕️)
It’s rare to find a shop that combines such high-quality craft coffee with genuine, kind service. I’m still daydreaming about that latte back home in IL. If you are in Oakmont, give them a chance and tell them what you like—they will make it exactly right for you!

Excellent experience! I brought my friend from Japan here to show her around, and she loved it! The baristas were so very friendly, and the decor is very tasteful. Food presentation and taste is amazing, same for drinks. We got a hot matcha and a tiramisu latte. Totally recommend!

All their drinks are so fun, but their seasonal lattes are always creative and delicious, especially loved the baklava latte that had great pistachio flavor and a beautiful blue cold foam too. They also have pastries and other food options from local spots that are solid, and I really like the seating area. It’s small but really cozy. My only complaint is the pricing ($8+), but the quality is really good so I’ll definitely will be back to try more of their special!

I’m extremely picky about my espresso. When I order a macchiato, I mean a true espresso macchiato — not the oversized, sugary version. If that’s not available, I go with a cortado with an extra shot and no extra milk. In other words, the coffee has to stand on its own — smooth, rich, and dark. I’d rather skip coffee altogether than settle for something mediocre.
While driving through town, I searched for a place that might meet my standards and came across Moonbeam Café. It had strong ratings, so I decided to give it a try — and I’m glad I did.
My cortado with an extra shot and skim milk was excellent. Smooth, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. No bitterness, no burnt taste — just well-crafted espresso. They also offer a variety of baked goods, though I didn’t try any this visit. They also make their simple syrup in the house homemade.
The service was good, and the interior was delightful — cozy with charming little cubby-style seating areas. There’s a large front window with a long bar-height table where you can sit and look out onto the street, which adds to the experience.
The café sits in the heart of Oakmont, a quaint town with lovely storefronts and a welcoming feel. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your coffee.
If I’m ever driving through again, I will absolutely be stopping here.

It was my first time here, so I wasn’t sure what to order. I asked the barista to surprise me, and they absolutely came through! I was a little worried I might’ve stressed them out with the request, but I was completely wrong the baristas were so kind, patient, and genuinely sweet. When she handed me my drink, she told me it was a sugar cookie iced coffee, and wow… the presentation was beautiful and the taste was even better.
The whole place has such a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay and unwind. I definitely recommend this spot !

We were in town and decided to stop in for a hot drink on a cold day. The atmosphere was wonderful and the unique flavor combos was a nice touch. I had the sweet potato pie hot coffee and it wasn’t too sweet.

So cute! I went on a Thursday around 11:00, I was the only one in there. The girl working was super nice and welcoming! I got an iced matcha latte with sugar free vanilla and whole milk. It was so delicious and well made. Perfect ratio of matcha and milk. I also got a chocolate stroopwaffle. It was the perfect little treat. The prices were good I think I paid about $6 for both. I could see this place getting very busy and packed during busy times of the day. I am glad I went at the time I did.

One of my favorite cafes in Allegheny county! This business came under new ownership recently, and now looks a tad bit different on the inside. There are far more plants now, a lot of them for sale, and the seating has more options. I’ve had the luxury of coming here twice since this (photos from both of those trips) and cannot recommend enough the matcha lattes! They make their lavender syrup in house and it taste just like you took a bite out of a lavender bush (but in a GOOD way ) and the earthy fresh notes of the matcha entangle with that perfectly. Their rotating toast selection also provides a great opportunity to try something new! My last visit I got their avocado toast with micro greens and it was quite refreshing and zesty!
The staff are super nice, the lady who was working the cafe even remembered my name which I felt was like, super nice and sweet. The overall vibe of the place is calm and relaxing, a great place to grab a drink and chat with friends on a stormy afternoon! Highly recommend this gem!⭐️

This is becoming one of my favorite coffee shops!
First, the coffee (drip) is great. Made at the perfect strength.
Second, the baristas are all accommodating to your requests as much as possible, and very friendly.
Third, the aesthetics are lovely – various seating choices and conversation areas, plants, books, art (not to mention the view out the front window!!)
We did not buy food, but they pastries and a selection of bagels and waffles on the weekends.
All the things I look for in a good coffee shop!
