Social Profile:

Moona or Mouneh, slang for the Arabic word meaning “storing” or “pantry,” is a cozy 30 seat Arabic-inspired fine-casual restaurant focusing on the best pantry/mouneh items behind your food. ‍ The spices, spice blends, olive oil, olives, tahini, different types of molasses, and other ingredients are what our concept is about. It’s about sourcing and making the best pantry items that are behind making your food shine. You’ll find things like brussels sprouts in the Fall and Winter with tahini, pine nuts, pomegranates, and coriander. In the summer you’ll find grilled squid salad with toasted almonds, lacinato kale, za’atar shallots, feta, lemon, olive oil. We like to play with some of our local seasonal produce and if we put anything auth

Eastern Mediterranean & Arabic bites in an intimate, mosaic-tiled space selling house spices & jams.

Great flavors, love the complimentary bread (fluffy and perfect temperature). the lamb dish was amazing although i think the yogurt to meat ratio was too high. The ambiance was good but a bit too cramped. Definitely get a reservation in advanced since this place is busy. overall will come back again.

Moona is such a gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff make you feel right at home. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented! The mezze were amazing, and the spices were perfectly balanced. Especially their baklava, it had a beautiful floral scent that made it unforgettable. Portion sizes were just right, and everything tasted homemade with so much care. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.

Feta fritters were gummy inside. Squid was way too acidic. Eggplant was good. The main, 2 chicken thighs, took an hour to come out. The restaurant is freezing inside.

Great Mediterranean place for small bites and drinks. Awesome service and nice cozy ambiance. We ordered tahini on hummus, feta fritters, falafels. Cocktails were saved by the bell and oh snap as shown in pictures. Dessert was flavorful and good presentation

Took my wife here for her birthday after reserving a table on Resy. The location is in a nice part of Cambridge but you’ll find the dining area of the restaurant to be fairly limited in space. Because of the limited space it was quite loud and hard to hold a conversation or even hear the waiter. For this reason I wasn’t a huge fan of the ambiance. Upon glancing at the menu you’ll find the majority of it is alcoholic drinks and wines with a limited selection of small-plate food options. It was cool to see some contemporary renditions of middle eastern cuisine but it was definitely not what I would consider authentic. We ordered the grilled blue fish, Eggplant Fatteh, Kibbeh Dip, Arayes Kofte, and Stuffed grape leaves. Everything was mostly good in flavor. The kibbeh dip was bright in flavor but left more to be desired. The eggplant Fatteh was really tasty because it’s just hard to mess up with fried eggplant. We really loved the grilled blue fish with the perfectly dressed slaw on the side. There was too much going on with the stuffed grape leaves because of the short rib on top. And overall my favorite was the arayes Kofte because of the crispy bread stuffed with an elegantly spiced patty of meat.

For a small plate mezze type restaurant I would expect that the plates come out fairly consistently. At one point we were waiting a good 10 minutes between dishes. I would have wished the service was better timed. Moreover, the way the menu was written made it difficult to choose what to order. We had to ask a lot of clarifying questions to understand better exactly what we would be ordering.

Food was good overall, but I don’t think this restaurant is anything worth raving about.

The feta fritters & eggplant fatteh were sooo good! Also recommend the mushroom hummus. Really authentic middle eastern food which is hard to find!

the food here is very good! a super busy place, I wouldn’t recommend the bar for eating a full dinner. their mocktails were creative and delicious. I loved how seasonal the food and drinks were! I got the coconut shrimp, the feta fritters (a MUST order), the lamp burgers, and the harissa carrots (not pictured).

We had high hopes for this place after reading such positive reviews and were really excited to try it for my bf’s birthday, but unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite live up to those expectations. First, we had a dinner reservation yet didn’t get seated until 15 minutes later. Then we didn’t get our drinks for another 15 minutes later after being seated. Food was okay, the best thing I had from here was their potato croquettes. The duck rolls were dry. Maybe it wasn’t a good day, but for the high price, I expected more.

Great first experience. From beginning to end it was not a let down whatsoever. Our waiter was a good guy who greeted us kindly and was very engaged with us as a group. We started off with some cocktails that went down smooth. And then the food came! We as a table tried a bunch of different food plates, and that’s what makes this restaurant good, is the unique and limited menu of selections. I don’t believe you good go wrong with any of their choices. The fried octopus was rich in flavour and cooked to perfection. The beet salad with walnuts was by far my favourite. I didn’t expect it to have such a star lust taste. According to my friends who are the duck rolls, it was mind blowing. They have onions so I didn’t eat them but they ordered it twice haha. The feta lamb burgers were a tasteful creamy taste and to end it, we had the mixed grill with a variety of meat selections. The food was outstanding and cooked to the point you would not be dissatisfied. The best part is that it feeds your stomach without feeling too full but just right that we got their homemade cheesecake for dessert to call it a night!

Ordered a few drinks, the feta fritters, octopus, dips plate, cheesecake, scallops, and found everything to be just okay in terms of flavor with no surprises. The lamb shank had good texture but was lacking in flavor. The halwa cheesecake was too rich and sweet to be enjoyable (wish there was some contrasting element on the plate).

Compared to other places in the city we don’t think it’s a good value for the quality of Mediterranean food you’re getting for the higher end price you end up paying.
