I gave them another chance on the food. I never had such bad tasting food. Dressing is horrible and how do consider yourself to be soul food with fake macaroni and cheese. The cornbread was dry and crumbly.

Very disappointing, my ribs were tough, stringy, and was hard to chew. Rolls were not cooked/doughy, potato salad watery. I have no clue what is going on, I usually like their food. I did, however, go outside of my comfort zone, which is usually fried food such as chicken, pork chops, or fish. It’s important to stick with what you know, lol, and for a 1/4 cup of bright yellow banana pudding was $8.50 totally not worth it! A bad overall experience today, definitely not happy!!!!

The food is excellent. The turkey and dressing was phenomenal. The neck bones were excellent . I just have a few critiques… The sweet potato pie does not taste like sweet potato pie, and mine contained potato strings.. The cornbread was very dry and not sweet.. I’m not sure if the ribs were baked or grilled but it was very tough to chew

OMGoodness! This food was delicious. Everything tasted like a little piece of heaven. I was able to eat on the servings all night long and it taste the same every time. No change in flavor profile and the staff was wonderfully friendly.

This is what their pot roast looks like smh It’s looks very uncooked and like some type of dog meat maybe. Not to mention Worse Mac I’ve ever had from a “Soul food” restaurant! If I could put zeros I would. I do NOT recommend this place at all. The cornbread was even terrible I should’ve took a picture of that but I threw it away soons I opened the food smh. For $46.64 I could’ve went to Motor City soul food in Detroit and got better food for that high price. The only item they seem to not mess up was my greens. So for the people who’s spending again I do not recommend especially if you’re going for pot roast or Mac and cheese. To management or ownership if you guys see this. Plz do better taste wise or higher new cooks or find a new recipe because this is terrible. I almost wanna call and get a refund or something. But I’ll take the L today. It’s my fault for trying new stuff instead of sticking to my original place

Food is great! Customer service is not when is comes to picking up your food, they will leave you just standing there. Pick up orders are NOT IMPORTANT at all compared to placing orders in house. I ended up walking out after waiting at least 10mins after ASKING for someone to help me. After noticing 3-4 associates help customers back to back to back. I recommend having a Pick Up Associate so this does happen, this is not the first time this has happen to me. I understand you guys are busy, but it seems like it would be easier to get pick out orders out of the way so a line doesn’t form through the restaurant. Unfortunately, I’ll never be back to this location.

I am impressed. My 1st time eating food from this location. I ordered the Smothered Pork Chop dinner. If you want old-fashioned dressing this is the place to get it from. The dressing is prepared with turkey cooked within the dressing. The Mac & Cheese is on point. I enjoyed how the Pork Chops looked, was not very fond of the chops were not tender. By this I mean, the chops appear to not have been slow cooked in the gravy to soften the chops. Overall, I will come back again.

I had mentioned to my husband that I wanted some greens a couple days ago. He decided to surprise me with a take out dinner. He purchased greens, baked chicken, cornbread and black eyed peas. I assumed he went to Motor City Soul food because that’s is where we would usually purchase soul food. I sit down to begin eating my meal. The greens needed more seasoning, but were edible. I then move on to the chicken. I tried to swallow that chicken breast and nearly choked. It had to be the driest piece of chicken I’ve ever tasted in my life. I grabbed a spoon of the beans to try to add moisture to my throat to get the chicken down and nearly choked again due to how salty the beans were! I looked at my husband and said where did you get this food from?! He said Mookey’s. I said why in the world would you go there?! He said Motor City line was too long. My husband and I had gone to Mookey’s years ago and said we would never go back due to how bad the food was. I am seriously confused as to how this establishment is still open with the quality of the food. The fact that I could only eat the greens out the entire meal is quite upsetting and a total waste of money. Oh and I tried the cornbread… tasteless and soggy. Do better.

Food is GREAT, Service is extremely slow even if you ordered over the phone. They take they’re time and lodge around when they have customers. Some of the ladies take your order repeats and still gets it wrong.
