Driving thru town, saw the sign on house, and made the block. 1st time there, got seated and did not know there were no menus. They just started bringing all this food to our table..this is what we cooked today type deal. Everything was soooo good..including the staff and the grounds.

There was a nice vibe upon entering the restaurant. At least for a few seconds. Then I lost my footing when I backed up to move away from the door as a staff member greeting us informed us they were at capacity and it would be a couple of minutes before a table was available. That’s when I almost fell down the stairs that are on the inside left of the door. There was a gate there but of course it was open. We found out later there is a bar downstairs. There is no signage, No color strip or anything else there to warn the patron that there is wood colored stair leading to a dark underground space. On a positive, the manager did inquire what could have been done to prevent anyone else from having this experience. The hamburger steak and salads were great, generous portions.

The food is great and the fried chicken is like none I had before, it is so good. I had the soul food buffet which consists of all you can eat fried chicken, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, cornbread muffins, biscuits and a dessert of their choice. I must say that this buffet is like being at home because you don’t have to move, they bring it all to you. Yes you heard me right. All the food is tremendous and seasoned just right. Definitely a place to eat at. I will be going back again for sure. Also the staff is friendly and helpful.

Was there 5-18-2019 @ 6 pm service was terrible there was a couple that got there at same time we were and never got served after drinks were brought out. They finally got up and left waitress saw them leave didn’t say sorry or anything. We got the all you can eat fried chicken meal food was ok nothing over the top food was room temp never refilled drinks . They were also having an event upstairs and not enough coverage for both so that being said we will not be back.
