We spent $70 waiting for our food, and we were really excited until one of the workers came out and told us not to wait in the parking lot and grab our food. We had only been there for 5 minutes, and it said they closed at 11:30. I guess he planned to close early and he got upset with us for not picking it up within those five minutes. We had placed the order around 9:53 and it said the pickup time was 10:10-10:20. We started to walk in around 10:16 and that’s when he had started yelling at us from across the parking lot… The restaurant had the huge glowing open sign in front of it so we were confused why he was so upset with us. We weren’t late and he just kept telling us how he was tired and not to sit in the car and wait all day. I don’t understand how we should be held accountable when they’re website says they close at 11:30 and he accepted our order… We were tired too, we we’re up all day today but we don’t just go yelling at customers in the parking lot…I even asked him what time they closed and he didn’t give us a straight answer. He kept going around it. The food was good, but the customer service matters more. We will not be coming back here again.

– If you prefer a quiet, low‑key meal, note that the venue has bar/lounge energy and can be lively—especially during dinner hours.
Overall verdict
JOEY Woodland Hills is a very good choice for a night out—whether it’s a date, celebration, or stylish dinner with a group. You’ll get high‑quality service, a strong environment, and a menu that appeals widely.
If you’re budget‑conscious or seeking a laid‑back hidden gem, this might feel a bit more upscale or lively than you’re after. But for many, it hits the “premium casual” sweet spot.
Recommendation
– For the best experience: go for an earlier dinner slot (before prime time) if you prefer a calmer setting.
– Pick standout dishes: steaks, sushi shares, or chef’s specials tend to get the best reviews.
– Don’t skip the patio if weather allows—it adds to the ambiance.
– Make a reservation, especially for weekends, to avoid wait time.

Delicious middle eastern food in a modest strip mall location. Don’t be fooled by the modest facade — the food was excellent! We had hummus, falafel, and a few different salads, plus a delicious complimentary pickle dish, and all of it was terrific, freshly made and fresh tasting. We’ll definitely go back!!

This place is nice to dine in with your kids as the atmosphere is fantastic, besides the fresh, yummy, healthy food. Try it, and you will like it. It is clean and good service. Food had good flavor, but for the price, the sandwich is small in my opinion. They also added way too much sauce inside, at the first bite it literally popped open from the side and sauce got everywhere.

Mona’s was a great find and I’m a picky eater. I saw my people’s (Armenian) food in the area and came to what I thought was Sasoon Restaurant, but turned out it was replaced with Mona’s. Lebanese, Armenian, same thing, so I decided to give it a go. It’s rare that I find a place that serves delicious hummus and beef kabobs. Thank you for being one of very few on my list.
The place had a few groups of customers dining in during lunch hour and it seemed to be run by an elder gentleman and a host/waitress. The gentleman greeted me and took my to-go order. Although the beef kabob was above average cost, it was also above average quality and taste.
The kabob was marinated and cooked to perfection. The salad was dressed exactly how I like it. And the hummus was as good as it gets.
My only comment to ownership is – please provide your take out customers more durable utensils. I absolutely despise getting cheap utensils that can’t even stay steady by a grain of rice. I’m sure nobody enjoys having utensils like that.

We stopped here on our way home from a weekend trip. We don’t have anything Lebanese near home and were so excited to see Mona’s on the map. It did NOT disappoint. The owner was friendly, kind and so generous. The food was fantastic; I wish they were closer so we could go all the time!

SISI and Jorge are great. I love the food. They’re awesome. I would recommend a Persian and Middle Eastern liberty use in all kind of people that want to eat Kabob.

The beef shawarma at Mona’s kitchen was superb. Probably the best in LA and the closest to authentic Lebanese style shawarma.
The meat had crisp but not overcooked and the tahini sauce was great. The wrap hd the proper ingredients for a successful explosion of flavors in your mouth.
We want to come back and have a full feast with more than just Shawarma.
The best of all is that George who is the owner I think was extremely nice and friendly and cane outside to ask me how the sandwich was and if I needed anything else.
Highly recommend this place for Lebanese cuisine.
