This one has it all, all the richmond vibes. The food is amazing and the service was top notch. The craft cocktails were legit as they come, down to the ice. Spice levels are accurate. Kao Soi Kai…yeah the fried noodles and curry is off the charts good, almost like a massaman curry but with crunch in every bite. Everyone had a great dish.

So…when I like a restaurant I will try it twice just to ‘test my luck’. Well..visit #1 went well…I had the Ginger Stir Fry w/shrimp. It was good. So was the mojito I had. Visit #2…not coming back. I came because they had a happy hour…well NO bartender! Not happy hour if you ask me! Depends on the day – she said. So waitress offered to make a mojito…it’s in a BABY glass! The Thai chicken wings are just ‘battered’ NO – I repeat – NO – TASTE AT ALL. The mussels…CHEWWWWYYYY! The broth was good but…the muscles seemed a bit OLD! I ordered the same dish..let’s see…stay tuned for part 2!!! I’m just reviewing REAL TIME…because I’m truly disappointed! I thought I had found a new spot…good food/good drinks…we’ll…it’s back to the drawing board!

AMAZING. This is the best place for quick and filling food; perfect for a sit down lunch either before getting on the road, or maybe meeting your ex boyfriends mother you happen to still be besties with! (I digress) The whole experience was lighthearted and fulfilling 🙂 The food was scrumptious. We got the Massaman (warm coconut chicken and rice) and the Drunken Noodles (thick full noodles with bodied spice). I have been here many times, but hadn’t been in a long while. For some reason, I was jonesing for some yellow curry with rice. Upon arriving and perusing the menu, I realized there was no true yellow curry listed. I asked about it. The server advised that the soft shell crab was served with a yellow curry, but with noodles. Since it was winter, I asked if he could prepare it with shrimp. He checked with the kitchen and came back to tell me that I could have the shrimp stir fried or tempura batter fried. I ordered it with rice. One of the most delicious things I’ve had in recent memory. It really opened up my sinuses. Had the Nue Yang flank steak over iceberg lettuce with a little cilantro) an appetizer. Delish. Love that Thai chili dipping sauce. A tasty Sing Ha draft to go along with it. Refreshing when a place is willing to work with you and craft the exact dish that you want. Not many places will do that.
