One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The entire staff was so kind and seemed to truly enjoy working there. The food was amazing, full stop. Just stop thinking about visiting and go. The owner took time on a busy Saturday night to stop by each table and make sure everything was great, answer questions and even provide recommendations. It’s going to be hard to want to eat anywhere else whenever we are in the area. Thank you so much for making our night.

Momocho in Ohio City is a must-visit for anyone looking to go beyond standard Mexican fare with their signature “Mod Mex” approach.

Located in a refurbished two-story house, the restaurant has a trendy, dimly lit atmosphere decorated with lucha libre masks.

The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu and selections, making you feel right at home.

I had the opportunity to eat at this establishment Wednesday night 02/04. I was totally satisfied. The Margarita flight was excellent. There were 4 of us at the table. We had house made chips and salsa flight with guacamole on the side all including the chips were great. I had a pork bowl with a fried egg on top ( sorry don’t remember what it was called ) but it was excellent as well. Our server couldn’t have been anymore attentive. Then there was Dan that kept or water filled and empty plates and glasses cleared that was a total pleasure. He should get employees of the year. My son and daughter in law was the other couple. They live near by. They are going back Friday with other’s. I can’t wait to go back. PS. So many brands and flowers of Tequila. Yum.

We split the pineapple guacamole, the barbacoa and the blue corn enchiladas. We also each had a margarita. All the dishes we tried tasted delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The guacamole was fresh and a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I would definitely come back again and recommend this place!

This place is adjacent to perfection. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is great, and the food is even better. I ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer which was one of the best ideas ever. I also had the sashimi – the fish was as fresh as can be, and the presentation was A+. There is outdoor dining available. I will be visiting this place again when I go back to Cleveland!

Modern Mexican that actually feels fresh and interesting. I tried a couple tacos and the guac sampler — flavors were bold but balanced, nothing over-sauced. Cozy space, good energy, and plates that are fun to share. Definitely not your average taco night.

I am very pleased with the service, atmosphere, and the food. Their homemade sauce was exceptionally delicious. For a refreshing beverage, I highly recommend their cucumber Margaritas. The mango margarita was also quite enjoyable!

My partner and I are huge fans of Momocho and are delighted always by the service. The owner was hosting and you can tell he really loves his community in Ohio City as well as new guests and his staff! If we didn’t want to wait the 45 min for a table- he even suggested his local neighbors for us to try out incase. (We have, they’re all excellent as well!). Incredible atmosphere and it’s hard to ever get anything else outside of the machaca taquitos because they’re just THAT good. I’d also highly recommend the black pepper pecorino guacamole. We are always scraping the bowl clean with this one as well. I don’t usually do reviews but the love and care at this place deserves to be recognized!

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. We showed up at a busy time of the night. The owner was very welcoming and kind. Recommending other great places to eat if we didn’t feel like waiting. He also mentioned places we could go for a drink while we waited for a table. The rest of the staff was also welcoming, kind, attentive, and skilled at their jobs. I’m not sure what they do to the food but it’s some kind of magic. Everything was very good and had a unique twist. I’ll be coming here again and recommending others do as well.

It is a cute find in a neighborhood. I would never think that is a restaurant. The restaurant is actually inside of a town home. By the way, we found this place via Chatgpt recommended travel itinerary.

Ok, let’s talk service. Nice! The owner is there taking us to the table. And the girl took care of us are super nice. When she found out our daughter had allergy, she offered to give us veggie as chips instead of chips that were fried in the frier that used for food contains peanuts.

Food: I have my likes and not so great- I liked that guacamole, very creative. We tried the trio. Goat cheese, smoke trout, and black pepper ones. We also ordered steak. The steak was good, but the potatoes was awesome!! It is deep fried baked potatoes? Not sure how it was cooked, but it was crunchy outside and software inside. And it was mixed with bacon and almond. Yummy ..
Not my favorite: the beef brisket taco. The meat was kinda dry.. the enchiladas was kinda salty..

The margaritas were little too sweet.
