For the food we got two specials, the mollys sandwich, which was a burger, and the shrimp tacos. I was very pleasantly surprised by the shrimp tacos! The burger was also good, needed a little more acidity like a tomato, onion, or something? But still good.
The service was slower because it was busy, and outside on the patio you order from the bar. The bartenders were great and efficient, the person who brought us our food was kind and attentive.
Overall this was a fun time and a great place full of energy and good vibes !!
The service was fantastic and the food was even better. I had the avocado toast (delicious!), and several people at our table raved about the bourbon French toast. Molly’s may not be the first place people think of for brunch, but it absolutely should be. They made a chaotic morning feel like a celebration.
We shared the breakfast nachos. They had good flavor. The chips got really soggy, really fast. We also ordered it with a runny egg. The server said most people get it with scrambled eggs. That would likely help with the sogginess.
I had the breakfast burger. It was really good! I’d probably salt and pepper the patties while they are grilling but it was still good. They forgot my side of ranch and it took a bit to get that, but it had gotten really full/busy and the server seemed to be taking care of quite a few tables so did not want to bug him to grab it.
The server had recommended the French toast bake. My buddy got it and let us all try it. It was very good. Thick. Flavorful. The sauce on it was great! It would have been too sweet for me to eat the whole thing, but my buddy destroyed it and was very happy with it.
When it did get busier, sometimes we waited a bit for mimosa refills, but it wasn’t that bad and we understand places are busy with limited staff right now. We would definitely go back. I love taking my dog for a patio drink, so if we are ever back in a warmer month and not looking to eat, we would definitely stop back here.
