First the positives. It was quick, it was hot, and the naan was fine. They have Dr Pepper in bottles.
My expectations of quality were low and I expected it to be expensive at the airport, but I can’t remember ever being more disappointed after any meal. The negatives are a long list:
-the chicken- it was hot, but that’s all it had going for it. It tasted several days old and had none of the curry taste in the chicken. My best guess is it was canned chicken past its expiration date that was chopped up and thrown in the curry.
-the curry- was a step below the stuff you can buy in a bottle and warm up on the stove. Three steps below what I would expect at a mall or airport restaurant. The flavors that make tikka masala so good we’re muted and the bad chicken made it unappetizing.
-the portions- considering the $22 price ($29 with a drink and taxes) it was nice that they provided lots of curry. The problem is you have to pick naan or rice, and the naan is only the size of your hand. That’s enough naan to eat a quarter of the curry. So I’m left with bad chicken and curry that I would need to pay another $5.25 just to have some more naan or rice to eat it with. That’s just throwing good money after bad, like paying to punish myself.
-the naan- it was fine. Not special, but way too small for its job. Texture was better than a stonefire toaster naan, but a little less flavor than grocery store naan. It appears that it was freshly baked and I’m sure I’d have no complains if it was paired with something edible.
Now I’m going to throw away enough curry and chicken to feed a small family, but I think I’ve spared them from a terrible dinner.
For some odd reason I’m tasting canned campbells chicken noodle soup. Seriously man? I’ve tasted better from a white guy making this at home.
Since I bought it and I’m cheap, I tried finishing it but just decided to throw it away after eating almost half. Please do not eat here. It’s $22 USD. It’s not even white-guy level. I can’t even find a description to tell you how bad this is. I’m offended that they even sell this.
The reviews are hilariously over blown. This is just an airport food court in one of country’s overpriced cities. Watch what you ask for!
Of course it’s not the best curry in the world. It’s acceptable.
Tofu coconut curry + rice: 5/10
Samosas 2 ct: 8/10
If you just transit through here and crave or need some Indian food, certainly go ahead, but have some low expectations please!
Visited this place for quick bite at the Seattle Airport (Terminal S). This is not truly Indian restaurant as they are also selling fish and noodles. But they have some good interesting options.
I tried Samosa from this place and really loved it. It was vey crispy and fresh samosa and love the taste. You get Green chutney with it.
