Rikos Tacos in Murfreesboro lives up to the hype! This food truck claims to serve the ‘world’s best tacos’, and they just might be onto something.
We tried their red tacos and street tacos with steak and chicken. Every bite was bursting with flavor. The meat was perfectly seasoned and juicy, while the tortillas were fresh and delicious. Both the red and street tacos were equally impressive.
The service was friendly and efficient. The food truck itself was clean and well-maintained, which is always a good sign.
My friend and I both rated our meal 5 out of 5 stars. It’s easy to see why Rikos Tacos has a reputation for being among the best in Tennessee. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Murfreesboro, make sure to stop by this food truck for an unforgettable taco experience.

I have driven past Rikos Tacos food truck (BP Gas Station at the corner of Gresham Ln & Old Fort Parkway) more times than I can count. Met Jamie who is one of the owners and he said they have been open for six months. He told me about the menu and I decided to try the Quesa-Birria Red Taco and the Arrachera Taco for my first visit. The Birria Taco here is a little different than I’m used to but still packed with flavor and I enjoyed it. The shredded beef was juicy, tender, and had all of the flavors you expect from birria and the dipping juice was very good. The Arrachera was OK and I liked the addition of sautéed onions on the side. While the steak was tender there just wasn’t much flavor in the meat, but seeing as I had some additional Birria juice left, I went to town. The sauces provided were good, the red had some solid heat while I enjoyed the flavors of the green (lighter heat too) much better. I asked him about Mexican Street Corn and he said they are considering it…so if that’s your love let Jamie know. Jamie said you can also call ahead and they can have your order ready for you when you arrive. Overall good tacos and I’m looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu.

I visited your establishment today to place an order and observed a female staff member sweeping the floor while wearing gloves. She then proceeded to pick up trash with a dustpan and wipe the floor before returning to food preparation without changing her gloves, which I found unhygienic. Please ensure that gloves are changed when handling food.

I was greeted with a smile by a lovely woman. I ordered three street tacos which were very reasonably priced. I didn’t even get to eat them till 15 minutes later and they were still incredibly good. Some of the best tacos I’ve had since moving near Nashville. The only thing I wish they had was a table or two to sit and eat it fresh.
