We went back for a second time because our first time was perfect! Yesterday was a disappointment. I was told I only get 2 pieces of chicken, equivalent to 2 ounces. Every ingredient on the plate wasn’t fresh. 2 young teens were prepping and doing the cash register as well. I looked at the kitchen and it was kinda everywhere. I did my best to eat my food but I couldn’t was just plain no flavor didn’t test fresh at all. I got my money back and left. The kids did what they knew best. Proper training might help in the future. Thank-you Roman for being kind and did your best.

This place reminds me of a cross between one of those salad only fast-food restaurants and a deli sandwich restaurant. Usual flow as you go through. The young me there were all enthusiastic and informative. The place just feels stark, however. Perhaps it is because there was pretty much no one there except me and one other couple in line. We ordered ahead and our food was ready at exactly the time promised. Of the items we had, every one was good quality. I had the Baja Blackened Chicken with a good serving of chicken and very fresh ingredients. I thought the dressing on it was outstanding. My wife did a build your own salad and it too was very large and fresh. The other two in our party had Bowls. A Smoky Chicken Bowl and a Hand Carved Chicken (more like a plate lunch than a bowl). We will return when the urge for this type of food hits again.

Although I love Modern Market Eatery, I have been skipping visits here lately, because the taste of my food on my last several visits were repetitive evidence of some cross-contamination occurring at this location. Unfortunately, when I ordered a bowl with chicken in it, I noticed a distinct hot pepper taste to the food like every other bite and then I just couldn’t tolerate it anymore. I know for a fact that the entree which I ordered absolutely was NOT supposed to contain any ingredients which signaled that the food was hot. I used to work in the food industry (a long time ago), and one of the things they train you in is NOT to use the same chopping/cutting knife for different ingredients because obviously then certain ingredients will taste bad plus there’s a sanitary issue as well. I encourage management to retrain there prep and serving staff to be careful during the preparation process especially.

Love, love, love the food and different lemonades. Really miss the carrot lemonade though. Only complaint is place is always dirty. We’ve even arrived right when it opens and tables and floors are dirty and sticky.

I came here with my wife and was pleasantly surprised. The braised beef meal with the kale salad and mashed potatoes was excellent. I’m not a big fan of kale but everything together made for a really tasty experience. My wife had the seared tuna which was excellent and well prepared. They have a variety of really good drinks. The service we received from Carolyn was top notch. Overall, it was just a really good experience.

Felt like this was really expensive for the quality of food you get. I got a chicken sandwich and it tasted very bad. Took one bite and sent it back. My husband got a pizza and it upset his stomach. The service was good and they refunded us for my chicken sandwich.

I’ve been coming here for years and I feel like it has gone downhill… the food is really good, but the restaurant itself is dirty. The tables are always sticky, the fountain drink area and trash area are filthy, and the bathrooms are so gross I don’t want to touch anything. I always get to go for these exact reasons because the food is some of my favorite, but am super disappointed with how it doesn’t seem to be cleaned at all throughout the day.
