We went there for a Mother’s Day celebration, a party of 8. I didn’t expect for there minimal seating, when you think BBQ and Texas, you think big! Cuz everything is bigger in Texas! Same goes for the food! We were expecting a little bigger variety of food options and expected larger portions. Nevertheless we tried it and the food it was good, however everything we tried half was good and the other half ok. The greens were way too salty but the ribs were tender. The corn was hot but the brisket was dry. The BBQ sauce was good but the coleslaw was too sweet. When it came to the order itself, there was a huge mix up. One of the workers tried to make it right, but by the end everyone was so hungry we had to pay for more sides. Some of the staff was friendly but some workers went to break during the lunch rush which made our order get delayed. We had to ask for our drinks several times and when I asked for water they charged us because everything is bottled there. This place is better for a pickup instead of a sit down. Not ideal for large groups.

The pulled pork and the beef brisket are delicious, top that with the spicy sauce, and have the side of beans and/or fries. It was so yummy! On top of wonderful food they have wonderful people. It felt very cozy and friendly, and we were only there for take out! Go there, take the kids, you will not be disappointed!

Stopped in at this BBQ joint. Ordered the pulled pork, brisket, sausage, and ribs. Along with their mac n cheese, and coleslaw. The meat was okay. More on the dry side than I normally like. The sausage was the best out of the variety of meat we tried. Their mac n cheese on the other hand was amazing. I’m not normally a big mac n cheese person, but it was damn good. Finished our meal up by ordering two servings of peach cobbler…or should I say sweet peach soup. There was no breeding in the cobbler, just peaches, the cinnamon sugar sauce, and what looked to be cooked egg. It was the weirdest peach cobbler I have ever had. For $10+ it was super disappointing. We ended up bring the peach sauce soup stuff home and using bisquick to make our own peach cobbler….which turned out pretty good. Needless to say this place isn’t worth any special trips, and is nothing to write home about.

Good eats. Ordered pulled pork, beef brisket, Mac and cheese, and fries. Both meats were cooked nicely and we’re definitely Texas style. Service was great too. I’d go back anytime.

Just tried MJB’s for the first time! Everything was awesome. We ordered a single meat and double meat combo. The ribs, pulled pork, and brisket were prepared perfectly. The ribs fell off the bone. We can’t wait to come back and try more!

Last Friday I took my office staff to MJB BBQ. I had heard good things about it. I was in for a let down. The first thing was they didn’t have ribs ready. I was hoping to try their ribs. They said we would have to wait 30 minutes for the ribs to be done. We ordered tri-tip and pulled pork. It took 30 minutes to get our food that should have taken all of five minutes to prepare. In fact they brought 2 of the meals to the table and it took 4 or 5 minutes more before the other 2 meals were delivered. We over heard the owner or manager telling the guy who prepared our food to stop talking to the people at the next table and get back to work. When the food finally came the meat was room temperature. I will say that the flavor was good. Lastly they don’t have a soda fountain so you have to pay $2.50 for a bottle of coke.

This place is amazing. Everything I have tried so far is the most tender, flavorful barbecue I’ve had. The beans are incredible. Come early. They only stay open until they run out. Everything is so fresh.

Sm with six tables and counter w/ roll paper towels on them. Not much of an atmosphere, food good, fall a part brisket and fair pricing. Try the pulled pork on their batter fries,yum. Ask for sauce.

Great food and staff, they are very quick with orders. Their food is very delicious but I will say I wasn’t a fan of their macaroni & cheese, I feel it needs a little more flavor and the macaroni was too soft for me or a little over cooked but other than that great place.
