Pricey but good. Beef brisket is tender and moist. You have to pay for quality, but it almost always works out good here. Friendly service and lots of good barbecue sauces, which is essential for a barbecue establishment.

While visiting Panama City, my husband and I decided to find a good spot for barbecue. After checking out Google reviews on Mission Barbecue, we decided to order takeout. It was located only about 5 minutes from our hotel. When we arrived, there was a decent crowd inside. The host was very helpful. She helped us place our order by explaining the different options to choose from. We ordered 5-bone baby back ribs, Mac & cheese, and baked beans as the two sides, and a side of cornbread came with the order. As we waited for our order, I noticed the beautiful decor around the restaurant. Memorabilia pictures of military and rescue workers were placed all over the restaurant. There’s a true story to this restaurant. Hospitality was the best. The atmosphere was pleasant, nice and cozy. Finally we received our food. Went back to our hotel to eat. OMG… best barbecue we have had in a long time. The ribs were so tender (meat falling off the bone) it came with your choice of sauce. We choose barbecue sauce with hickory. The Mac & cheese was so good it seemed as if it was baked In an oven. The baked beans were just right, had pieces of brisket in it instead of bacon. We are originally from New Orleans, La., and I didn’t think anyone can top our barbecue. I was wrong. We enjoyed it and ate it all. I would definitely recommend Mission bbq.

Being from texas, it’s not very often I am pleasantly surprised with the barbecue and I’m had to say this one was perfect. It’s a cool little joint that offers Texas smoked brisket and it has a beautiful bark on it. I did not try any of the sites but they also looked amazing and I will look forward to trying them next time

Based on the reviews I thought it would be promising, however I found the food to be average. Much better local spots to check out.
Corn bread was dry, meat did have smoked flavor but wasn’t seasoned. Mac and cheese wasn’t spectacular. Overall good spot to stop with big groups or kids but if your looking for a awesome local place there are better spots.

Amazing food and service! So glad to have Ms.Kathy serving us she was so nice and helpful. The food tasted wonderful! My first time going they made sure I understood the menu and even sampled their sides menu. It was so nice being in such a kind and warm place.

The service was spectacular and the food even better. 10/10 recommend getting the Apple cobbler, for those with a sweet tooth (it’s very sweet). The banana pudding was very savory. One of the workers heard it was our first time and gave lots of information about all the sauces (delicious) they offer and even brought samples of all the sides. The cashier was super nice and informative. Loved the atmosphere and the food. And what they stand for! I’ve never left a review about a place before, so that says a lot about this place.

I had ordered 1 brisket sandwich meal XXL, and 1 pulled sandwich meal for $44!! Are you kidding me?? $44??
Brisket was very tough, tiny side portions.
The only positive is the atmosphere is great. Being a veteran I was glad to see the memorabilia, I found myself looking for my unit patch, never found it.

We walked in telling the cashier that we had never been there before. Henry walked out from behind the counter introduced himself and shook both my husband and my hand and welcomed us. He asked us if we wanted a moment to look over the menu or if we would like him to explain it, we let him explain. Henry was amazing, we were so impressed how sweet and professional he was. I wouldn’t hesitate promoting this young man. We ordered the smoked ribeye and the hand cut fries. Everything tasted fantastic. The place is decorated with flags, all things military, police, fire, first responder things. We are proud supporters of all people of service so we love this!! I highly recommend this fantastic place! We will definitely tell others and will be back to support. Love it!!

I loved Mission bbq and I was a regular. But last night we decided to splurge and get lots of brisket. I was assured that the food was more than enough for two people by the awesome employees at the front. I took it to go , and I never check my order as normally they give us a lot of food. But for $13.39 plus tax a plate. This is what I got.
We probably won’t be coming back … this was upsetting to say the least. Great food just not fair amounts.
