Great drinks, but the staff are the real prize; I was there for Fat Tuesday this year and my card would not go through. Long story short, Billy, the guy serving me, insisted I take them. The next day I went back sober, tried to pay my bill, but they would not have it. Didn’t catch the delightful woman’s name who helped me either but I’ll definitely be back next year. Great experience.

From the moment we stepped into Tropical Isle, the vibe was so fun and welcoming. We tried the Hand Grenade and I highly recommend it. It was strong, tasty, and lived up to the hype. The staff were super friendly and the bartender gave us a little show which made the experience even better. Especially the Shark Attack drink. It was so cool. The whole presentation was fun and over the top in the best way. Definitely a must visit if you are in New Orleans.

Ing. It’s been around for a long time and a nice boy to go to to sit down and relax, walking the streets and seeing all the sights in the French quarters. They have good quality food and all kind of exotic drinks. The bands are always great to listen to. They are famous for the one and only hand grenade drink that tourist love to go and enjoy theirselves to try to drink. I suggest this for all the tourism area to go there to grab a signature drink hand grenade to either get started for the famous French borders or to one day in the evening

Home of the world famous Hand Grenade, New Orleans most powerful drink! Tropical Isle Bayou Club is my most favorite spot on Bourbon street! My boyfriend and I love to grab a hand grenade and find a spot to sit a while and enjoy some of the best people watching in the world! and of couse the band that plays most everyday we’ve visited called the Hangovers. The band is so much fun they take requests and keep us singing and laughing along. The staff here is always nice and have great suggestions on other places to visit in the city.
If the famous hand grenade is too much debauchery for your ideal night, Tropical Isle has a few other fun themed mixed drink options including a shark attack, Tropical itch etc listed and a full bar to find your favorite way to imbibe.

Place felt quite cold and sterile. They were having a hard time pulling customers in so they seated us right up front and then we waited 30 minutes for food even though there was only three other couples sitting at various tables in the back. The smell of urine blowing in from off of Bourbon Street was definitely not what I was expecting to smell. The shrimp Po boy was deep fried crunchy shrimp on bread 2 in thick so I skipped on the bread and just ate the shrimp having expected not deep fried shrimp.

Came here for the first time yesterday. Great bar on Bourbon. They have drink specials. Fun atmosphere. Great LIVE music and the bartenders are very engaged and entertaining when they serve their hand grenade and shark drinks. Cool spot to check out if you are in the area.

Fun music venue on Bourbon Street. There was a local Zydeco band performing, and they were outstanding. The dance floor was always full of couples dancing.
