We were invited by a dear friend who swears by this place as one of the best North Indian food in Pasadena. It certainly lived up to the reputation. Everything was good, even the salads. I highly recommend the lamb vindaloo with lentils. I particularly appreciated that you can choose the spicy level from 1 to 10 which is not a feature I’ve seen before in Indian restaurants.

This place is insanely overpriced. I ordered the chicken tika masala and it was $27!! Online it said it was $17 so pretty unfair especially for the portion you get. It’s a normal smaller portion and it doesn’t even come with rice…. Rice costs pennies…I asked if they would be able to throw in some rice since I’m paying $27 for this small dish and they would not. The chicken was also burnt on the edges. I’ll never come here again. Don’t get ripped off!

This place was great as far as the food quality goes. It is a very small restaurant, but the atmosphere is nice and the waiter was very helpful while ordering and very attentive. The garlic naan and samosas were great too. Stop by and try this place if you’re in the area. We just got finished with our hike at Eaton Canyon and worked up a great appetite.

The food was very good. I had a buffet lunch with rice, different varieties of chicken and many more items were available here. But the staff attitude towards me was very unprofessional. Doesn’t meet the quality of food and service. I had an insult from the serving staff and after the incident while I was having the food, another staff came and he questioned me instead of understanding my situation. He himself says he knows everything. Also he himself says he is questioning me in a professional way! What the… He didn’t try to understand my situation. Actually when the problem happened another customer helped me to figure out my problem and this staff guy again asked why I’m not angry with the customer, why I was angry only with the staff! Actually I was not angry with the staff. It was terrible anyways.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Excellent service and atmosphere. One of the reviews on here said something about hidden things being on the bill or things not being priced accurately, and that wasn’t my experience at all. Everything was accounted for and accurate. Please note that the menus have been updated from the photos here and the prices have gone up just slightly.

Don’t let the modest exterior prevent you from enjoying this gem of a restaurant. As soon as you enter you can tell that this family-run business takes a ton of pride in their work. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was excellent.

Overall food was decent. Some items were the best I ever had and some were just so so. Dal makhni is to die for. Hyderabadi chicken was so so. Mango lassi was awesome, papadi chat was so so.

On a college tour and we decided to have dinner here before flying out. Their service was super fast, the servers were checking and ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was also good – overall good experience.

Mint Leaf is one of the more lavish Indian restaurants serving the San Gabriel Valley. Beautifully decorated with ornate furniture, wallpaper and finishings, the restaurant failed to match it’s flavour with their decor.
