I walked in to a nice and tidy atmosphere. There was no one else in the restaurant. The menu was very straight forward with just enough options to give you some verity but not be overwhelming.
I went with the Pad Thai with chicken. It was delicious and bursting with that iconic citrus flavor and fresh herbs. The portion was perfect for me and I would certainly recommend this place. I will absolutely be back.
I called in a to-go order and ordered pumpkin curry with brown rice and a side of steamed veggies. My side of steamed veggies came with all but one of the broccoli florets cut off, leaving only the stems. See pictures.
I figured I would receive an upcharge for the brown rice, instead of white. I didn’t expect to pay the full price for a side of brown rice ($4). And since I paid for the full side of brown rice, I would expect to receive the white rice that I would normally receive with the curry. Nope.
I called in, specifically so I wouldn’t have to pay the $1.75 convenience fee for ordering online. However, I appear to have paid more than I would have by ordering online. I tipped $3, but I’m pretty sure I remember the price being $22 and some change before I tipped (I was tired and didn’t pay attention).
We love the pad see ew, rad na, pad thai, and fried rice.

Also–it is not at all too spicy. The food was complex, rich in flavor, and well balanced, but not at all spicy. If you do like it spicy, they will accommodate and add some heat to your meal. But don’t be put off by the fact that Thai food tends to be spicy. They keep the richness of the Thai cuisine but cater to the American spice tolerance. Needless to say–ask for it spicy if you want it that way! They will say yes and make it just right for your capsaisin preference!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. If you are a local–there is no reason why you shouldn’t try this spot!
Had a pretty unfortunate experience today, 6/8/25 at Minks. 1st) the restaurant was HOT. I dont know if they don’t have A/C maybe, but it was so uncomfortable, and stuffy, and eating hot food in a hot building while sweating was super unpleasant. 2nd) my friend asked for a Thai tea that was slightly less sweet than normal and the server looked like she had asked him calculus. Her tea was regular sweet and she couldn’t finish it. 3rd) the server asked what spicy she wanted her curry at and she said medium. He did not ask me for my fried rice. Both of our meals were so spicy we were snuffly and tearing up and couldn’t finish. It was too much. I was super disappointed. 4th) the server brought out a small container with a lid for my friend to bring her curry home; he DROPPED the lid on the floor, grabbed it, and proceeded to leave it on the table for use. I get up and go ask if we can just get a different lid and the first server looks me dead in the eyes and says “why?” Like I didn’t just lock eyes with him picking up lid from the floor. I explain very nicely that we’d just be more comfortable with a clean one, and he says “its just the lid, not where the food actually goes.” Luckily the other person behind the counter just reached around and gave me a lid but the one guy was seriously baffled why I would ask for one that hadn’t been dropped on the restaurant floor?! Anyway. Definitely not a great experience, hoping it was just a bad day but will not be keen to go back for a while.
Also when we went in to pick up the order the place was very clean and the service was great!
