This newly opened Thai street food theme restaurant became very popular and saw a lot of Instagram postings. So we thought we had to check it out.

We went today to dined at Mini Yeah Thai Restaurant in Temple City, a popular Thai street food chain from China. The standout dish here was the Spring Chicken, known for its crispy skin and tender meat, which didn’t disappoint. However, I was less impressed with the Satay, which was dried and difficult to enjoy.

The Thai Pad Thai, on the other hand, was quite tasty, though the portion size left me wanting more. One aspect that truly stood out was the restaurant’s decor – it’s Instagram-worthy, with vibrant Thai culture murals and a charming beach-themed courtyard.

Service at Mini Yeah Thai was excellent. When I mentioned the issue with the dried Satay, they promptly replaced it with a more tender version prepared by the chef. Kudos for their responsiveness.

However, it’s worth noting that prices here lean towards the higher side, and the portion sizes can be quite small. Additionally, the parking situation might catch you off guard – the parking lot is located in the back, and you have to enter through the rear door.

In summary, Mini Yeah Thai Restaurant offers a mix of hits and misses when it comes to the food, but the delightful decor and attentive service make it a decent option for a Thai dining experience in Temple City, albeit at a premium price point.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Thai restaurant in Los Angeles, and I must say it’s truly top-tier. Having sampled various Thai places in LA, this one stands out as a hidden gem that transports you to Thailand, all while offering street food prices.

The ambiance of this restaurant is exceptional. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by captivating decorations, intricate wall art, and carefully chosen furniture that instantly transports you to the vibrant streets of Thailand. It’s an immersive experience that enhances the overall dining journey.

Now, let’s talk about the food – the heart and soul of any restaurant. The Tom Yum hotpot I ordered was a burst of flavors in every spoonful. The balance of saltiness was just right, allowing the complex flavors of the broth to shine through. It was an authentic taste of Thailand’s beloved dish.

For dessert, I indulged in the mango sticky rice, and it did not disappoint. The dish struck the perfect balance between saltiness and sweetness. The mangos were impeccably ripe, maintaining their texture without being mushy or overly firm. It was a delightful conclusion to the meal.

I also couldn’t resist trying the small roast chicken, and I was pleasantly surprised by how juicy and tender it was. The accompanying sauce was a delightful complement to the succulent chicken, creating a harmonious blend of flavors.

If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend getting there before 6 PM, as this place fills up quickly. It’s no wonder why – the combination of exceptional food, immersive ambiance, and wallet-friendly prices make it a must-visit. I’m eagerly looking forward to their grand opening, and I’ll definitely be returning to savor more of their delicious offerings.

Tom Yum Hotpot broth was delicious, most of the ingredients were pre-cooked and some overcooked. Corn was soggy and stale.

Lemongrass clams was okay, overall, the clams for both this dish and hotpot were not fresh, still had sand in it, plus it is also pre-cooked. It was served in 2 minutes upon order placement..

Thai volcano pork ribs was delicious, balanced flavour, and tender meat. Only praises here for this dish.

First, if you’re coming here for Thai food, don’t expect it. This is not really Thai food but really a Chinese idea of Thai food. You won’t find the traditional Thai flavors of galangal or lemongrass really come through but really moreso the Chinese flavorings.

It’s a fun restaurant with fun food and decent service. Just don’t come expecting Thai. The drinks are EXCELLENT so definitely come for the drinks. Really good Thai tea and really good pineapple drinks.

The mini chicken is fun and comes piping hot with a great dipping sauce and wonderfully cooked skin. They give you gloves so you can break it up with your hands. It’s juicy and delicious.

The chicken curry is more in the style of a Chinese/Cambodian curry which is a bit looser and less creamy. Maybe like a panang curry but no thai eggplant. There’s a bit of a kick, lightly bitter, and somewhat salty. Don’t dump your rice in, take it a bit at a time.

The soups are fun. A huge bowl with a bunch of sides! Not the topping you would expect but this is a great value. Definitely worth an order. You can share this with 2-3 people.

There’s a cup Noodle dish that I think is fun! And quite yummy compared to the pad thai. Well seasoned and lots of protein. It’s a solid stir fry.

Mango sticky rice was delicious! Great balance of creamy coconut to sweetness. The mangos were really fresh and perfect. Definitely a good finish to the meal

A Thai restaurant with a great atmosphere. You don’t have to wait too long to go there at noon on a Saturday. The taste of the food depends on your personal taste. Overall, it’s not bad, but it’s not amazing.

2/3/2024 – Mini Yeah, a Fution Thai Food stall chain restaurant in Temple City (100 Years History), Los Angeles, was opened in 09/2023. It has nearly 300 stores worldwide.  In China alone, it has more than 200.

The Fusion Thai Food has been attracting millions of Chinese customers worldwide. For example, a boneless chicken feet dish is the best among all Chinese restaurants in Los Angeles I have been going for decades.

Aunt Phuket Curry Shrimp, Mango Stick Rice, which is very unique with three flavors, and Thai Coffee are also 5 star, respectively. A hot pot dish is also very good.

Really not good thai. Don’t come here expecting thai food or any sort of fusion of it. Fried rice was bland, pad thai didn’t taste like pad thai (though the noodles were well cooked), papaya salad was forgettable.
