Mmmmm best picanha ever!!! Seasoned liberally and grilled perfectly!!! Generous portions better for sharing! We always make sure to pass by here when we’re in the country. Look for Joe who grills it the way we love it!!!

I got together with some friends to get food and some drinks. I made reservations for 6pm. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and the hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or out and we sat inside by the bar. Claudia was our server and she was very nice. We all wanted the sangria so that’s what we ordered. I wasn’t feeling it so I switched to the red wine. The garlic shrimp came out and it looked great. I dug in and it was very tasty. The bill was very affordable. We definitely enjoyed our time and would return.

Food is really tasty and the portion is large! The presentation is very cute – looks much better than what I imagined by reading the menu. Servers are very friendly. We got steak and eggs and cubed pork with clam. All meats and bbq are pretty quick. Other dishes might take a bit longer to make. They also have a rodizio option.

We had not been here since 40 years ago. We were frequented this restaurant when the original owner, himself owned it. He was also the chef who, made a delicious Steak Minhoto. He eventually sold and this restaurant opened and closed with many owners. Driving by we decided to stop in. We noticed that the parking was expanded and surrounded the restaurant like the shape of a U. Meaning you go in one way and exit the other end. They did create a outside dining area within this urban environment. When entering through the bar you are welcomed by the hostess. The bar has large flat screen to watch soccer games around the world. The bar is cozy and is paralleled by several high tables and chairs. Since the bar was noisy between the game and piped in music. We decided to go into the formal dining room, where there were two large parties. The very same piped in music played in this room too. We requested a table away from these large tables. The restaurant was busy and that was a good indication. We had bread and butter on the table. The bread was inviting but, unfortunately it was not fresh. It was reheated and had a hint of smoke. Maybe placed on the grill and reheated. We ordered a pitcher of red sangria. Strong and little ice. It came strong but, more ice than we like. The apples and oranges were cut in cubes which we enjoyed. The restaurant does not have a paper menu so you will need your smartphone to scan the barcode to see it. The restaurant does state that food will take about 30 minutes or so since everything is cooked to order. A good sign, as we enjoyed our sangria. Maybe, we should have order an appetizer. Our two entrees did arrive. The special of the day was a Ribeye steak with one large shrimp. The steak was grilled and had that charcoal aroma. It was served with Spanish potatoes and rice. It looked good and was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The steak knife wasn’t very sharp so it was hard to cut. We finally did make it but, the 20 oz or so Ribeye was tough. The shrimp was good. The potatoes were saturated with oil and not thin enough. The white rice had a hint of garlic and was the hit of that dish. At $46 it wasn’t the best choice. We also had the grilled cod fish with peppers, onions and potatoes. The dish was appealing but, the cod was small in size compared to other Portuguese restaurants but, that okay. I was su6that the onions were raw and not grilled compared to typically to other restaurants. As for the few strips of green peppers. Hardly any. So much so that I requested more which, they supplied. Not knowing what to expect I ordered a side dish of broccoli rabe in oil and garlic. This dish was okay but, didn’t hit the mark compared to other Portuguese restaurants. We finished with espresso and creme Brulee. The restaurant was cleaned, bright and inviting. The staff did have an issue with english but, we managed. The staff was attentive, courteous, friendly and professional.

Service is good here when you’re dining. We’ve ordered for take out which is also good. In terms of parking they have about 7-10 spots available inside, besides that you do have to park on the street. I recently had the Filetes de solha a meunier (Filet of Sole Meunier Style) as take out and it was ok. I never had that type of fish and was curious to try it, not my favorite so for the plate itself I’d give it a 3/5 in my personal opinion. The fish wasn’t fishy tasting which I liked but it lacked flavor for my taste. It’s a fried fish fillet in some sort of coating for reference. The dish came with rice, fries, and some veggies. Otherwise, this place has some good Bacalhau dishes (cod fish).

Very nice place. We were there with a friend and we enjoyed everything. The server needs some education on drinks but she was very nice. The issue was she had no clue what a Screwdriver was and they kept giving very bad drinks because of not knowing what it was. But overall we liked it.

Expert tip: Park where the sign says Exit Only. Bring from NYC, I was happy to find this Diamond in The rough. The nabe is sketchy, but it’s worth it to come here for dinner if your in the neighborhood. For us, we went after a back-to-school little shopping trip to nearby Jersey Gardens Mall. We wanted to eat somewhere more covid friendly and non-mall-food-court-style. This place is only 8 minutes away. The restaurant is very nice and spacious, with a separate bar, indoor dining, and large outdoor area. The servers are very friendly with smiles on their faces and very courteous. The food was very good. We had the seafood paella and Steak in a rooftop tile. Seafood was very tasty, soupy, and warm. The steak was cooked to order and was tasty.
