My experience at ming fu was a perfect one i hands down !! I was met with the best hospitality and the food did not disappoint ! Not only were the prices already a steal during lunch but they had deals on top of that. I got the boneless ribs, egg rolls, and crab rangoon as a appetizer and literally had to stop myself from eating it all before my entrees came out so i didn’t get full too soon lol.
For my entree i had the ming fu special, sesame chicken, miso soup, white rice, fried rice , the rock and roll specialty sushi roll , and the spicy mayo California roll. They have a great deal where if you order a main entree you get a free soup or salad, as well as if you order a speciality roll, you get a maki roll free and well as a soup or salad ! (dine in only for soup/salad). The ming fu special was definitely my favorite ! the jumbo shrimp and scallops , the chicken and mixed veggies with the sa-cha sauce was everythingggg ..and it was served super cute on a sizzling plate with the foil shaped as a swan ! The whole experience was more than i expected and ill definitely be returning to try more on the menu!.

I enjoyed my meal and experience at MingFu. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The meal is solid and at a good price. I like the ambiance of the environment inside. I also tried the fried chicken wings in addition to what is captured with this review; they were fresh and crispy.

Took a day trip to Matthews, NC and my daughter and I found this delightful gem for lunch. Even at 2:00 pm the place was crowded, but that was a good thing.

Very nice Asian restaurant in Mathews. Nice selection of Asian dishes and an extensive sushi menu as well. Service was a bit disjointed as we saw three different people at our table. Appetizer was brought out after our entrées were served. There were three of us so we had a good sampling of the menu. All agreed that the food was very good. Although there were spicy dishes on the menu, they could be ordered with mild spice. Great food, nice location, good service, good value. Definitely worth a try!

I wanted to leave this place a good review so badly but the service we experienced today was not just bad, it was unacceptable. For the first time in my life I spent over two hours in a restaurant. It was over an hour and 30 minutes (thank you life 360 for telling me the time elapsed since our arrival) before we received our food. To be clear, there were only two of us and we were seated immediately, that was a fill hour and thirty minutes from the time we were seated until the time we received our four sushi rolls. We were not a huge party, we did not order some crazy large meal, just four sushi rolls. I understand it was Valentine’s Day but 90 minutes for 4 sushi rolls while we watched people with hot meals who got there after us be served before us and finish their food and leave all before we saw our food. Then we decided to order the mochi to try to at least have a little sweet thing before we hit the road and they added a candied cherry to the top of the green tea mochi ice cream? It made the entire thing taste like cough syrup, why on each would you do that. Needless to say I didn’t finish it, and for our hour and a half wait for our sushi, they took a whopping 5% (3.90) off of our bill. And we never even received an explanation for why it took an hour and a half for 4 sushi rolls. This was absolutely insane to me and unfortunately I would never eat here again because of this. If I waited an hour and a half for a standard meal, I felt like at minimum the appetizer should have been comped. This place clearly doesn’t have enough staff capable of preparing sushi so if you’re looking for sushi, skip this place.

Had the family all over. Decided to go to Ming fu for takeout dinner. There were 9 of us. Upon opening all and giving people their orders we found we were shorted an order of rice and sweet and sour sauces. Called and we were told to bring all the good back so they could see. Son in law said we just need the rice and sauce we didn’t get. He drove back and they Charged us again for the rice they forget to give us and that we already paid for and for sauce. Unbelievable. We have been shirted egg rolls and rice before. Called and they are like Oh Well sorry. Not a way to run a business.

While the sushi was great, the Chinese food itself was horrible. The general tso was tough, rubbery and lacked flavor. Sweet and sour was ok nothing special. Rice was bland but atleast edible compared to the chicken. Chicken lo mein was bland and agian chicken was rubbery. Service was mediocre wish she would have checked in on us more often and refilled our drinks. Who knows maybe it was an off day.

I had been here a couple times before and enjoyed it; the food, service and atmosphere above average. However, I came here with my granddaughter on 12-17-25 for lunch about 1pm and the place was packed. The service was terrible, it took 10 minutes before anyone came to our table, and the food was luke-warm, like it had been sitting on the counter for a while. I don’t know what happened but there seemed to be just one waitress and there were few spare tables, so I imagine they either had someone call in sick, or they didn’t anticipate the crowd. I’m not sure I’m going back!
