Mikado is one of those places we save for special occasions — this time it was for my girlfriend’s birthday. We always go for the premium sushi, and honestly, everything we’ve tried has been amazing. The atmosphere feels unique and beautiful, and the staff are always so friendly and attentive. We actually look forward to having a reason to come back here every time.

The food was amazing and the presentation even better. Fresh ingredients, careful preparation and a nice service. Mikado has all the ingredients for you to enjoy a great sushi if you are in Burlington Downton. We went on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn’t very busy. We loved the experience so we are definitely coming back.

Visited Mikado Japanese Restaurant on Valentine’s Day with my wife. The atmosphere was cozy, and although we arrived 30 minutes early due to my mistake, they accommodated us; though I was reminded multiple times that we were early, which wasn’t ideal. The service felt a bit rushed when ordering, as the menu was large, and I needed more time to decide.
However, once the food arrived, everything changed… wow! The quality and taste were unlike any sushi I’ve had in Halton Region. Yes, it’s on the expensive side, but absolutely worth it. Despite the rocky start, the incredible food made up for it. I’d definitely return!

I gave this place a positive review as the staff is attentive and friendly. The food is very delicious and tasty also the food preparation and layout is appealing especially the dragon boat.

Dissapointed as taste didnt meet expectation. We Ordered SS8. Spicy roll set, 6 spicy tuna, 6 spicy salmon, 6 spicy crab roll. It came with all taste the same for 18 pieces. seems the chef mixed all the meat together.

Nice place to have some good Japanese food. They have a variety of items on the menu, was perfect for our group. Food is delicious, presentation is very simple. Service is a tad slow but maybe it’s due to the long weekend.

Came to this restaurant on a Thursday evening with my husband and baby. We were seated immediately.
The sushi was delicious. There are a ton of options, which can make it difficult to choose. Highly recommend the lobster and chicken kaarange.
The server, who I think is the owner, was so friendly and playful with my baby. It helped make for smoother dining experience.
