I order two different taco plates one fajita the other chicken really dry and old pieces of meat. Portions of rice really small and bland no flavor at all.

Ordered 4 street tacos, 2 de trompo and 2 fajita and a mangonada. The mangonada has real chunks of mango, very good. The tacos were ok. I thought the meat was a little bland. The salsas were good, the red one was spicy. The place was clean and the staff was friendly.

We’ve been here many times. They have a wide variety of meats. I made a point to taste them all. While I have my favorites (desebrada, al pastor), they are all great. This is one of the better local Mexican restaurants that we love to go to for lunch as a couple or with the kids.

After church we needed our authentic Mexican flavor fix so we drove to the top place in North Texas, Mijas. When we visited, we had the tradition menudo with bread ( in this part of Texas they like to give you tortillas instead of bread with menudo). My oldest had tacos ( in this part of Texas they sell them individually), my other son had a burrito with egg and beans while my little white Rhino had scramble egg. As usual, the flavor was great. The menudo needed a bit more of a kick so I added some of the red sauce given to me. I also ordered a barbacoa sope which was A+. The menudo has always needed more meat and corn but oh well. If you come from El Paso, most of the Mexican food here is below average but Mijas gives you the flavor, inexpensive price and quick service. Our meals average 50 with tip. 2 Thumbs Up when in North Texas Just remember that parking can be an issue and don’t blink or you’ll pass the place.

We used Mijas for son’s graduation party… food was great and everyone (about 60+ people) raved about the food asking where it was from. It is an easy, fast pick up for dinner too… even reheats great for left overs

I have just tried the tacos, we got carnitas, fajitas and barbacoa and all of them were delicious and the red sauce mmmm awesome, the order was to go, so I must say they packed the order very well and very generously. I want to try the whole menu.

This store used to be located on state highway 66 in rowlett and I loved the tamales there!! But now they have relocated they obviously don’t sell them anymore although, there is another review stating they do on the weekends. However this is not the case as I was just informed on Saturday. Probably won’t return the tamales used to be literally the best I’ve ever had. The rest of the food is typical Mexican you can get at any restaurant in Texas.

First timers here. We came in at about 5 pm on a Saturday. My wife got cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, and I got 3 Trompo tacos with corn tortillas. Both red and green salsas were spicy with good flavors. Grilled onions are always nice on the tacos. I should’ve asked for a grilled chile on the side… Next time! Pork meat was juicy in the tacos. The sauce on the enchiladas had a nice flavor.. slight smoky, maybe it was Chipotle? Beans and rice had loads of flavor. I’m pretty sure they use manteca in the beans, perfect for us!!! And it was a real good portion. Some of it was literally spilling off the plate. I thought everything was very good, especially for the prices. I’m not sure why this place has low reviews? Can’t please everybody, I guess. I got an order to go of Shrimp Ceviche Tostadas, and my wife got more cheese enchiladas… This time, with a side of Pico de Gallo to try.
