Rather graphic things are written on the walls as the bar allows customers to “decorate” as they please. It adds to the atmosphere, but detracts from the family-friendliness. Not a criticism, just a warning.

We were in town for a day and had to go back to get lunch at Mick’s for old time’s sake. Still great, our ceiling tile is still there almost 20 years later, and it hasn’t changed in all the right ways. Food options were actually better than I remembered them being, way more burger variations now. More side choices too, but you should definitely still choose the chips.

Mick’s Office is another cornerstone of Moorhead. It has the look and feel of your average dive bar, but with a fun and warm atmosphere that makes it easy to become a regular. The staff is welcoming, accommodating, and serving delicious bar food to boot. My most recent stop I had the weekly special which was a double bacon cheeseburger with a side a fries. The bartender made a mistake making my food and gave me the wrong fries, but before she even served it to me she gave me the mistake and the correct order free of charge. Just a small example of the great service at this establishment. A great place to eat and drink. Be sure to stop in on Wednesdays for dollar burgers.

I want to tell you that this is an outstanding bar with a standard menu done with a focus on quality rather than quantity. I want to tell you all the things that make this bar great but I shouldn’t. I can’t. You all will come here and keep returning and this prevent me from sitting at my favorite table. You will all order food and I will have to wait while I watch you eat those glorious fries with your burger of the week. Taco John’s is next door. Go there and leave me to my beer and fries. But this place is still so damn good though. Have you ever had potato oles?

Amazing burgers! Stopped by the night before Thanksgiving as we were heading through Fargo. I ordered the Thanksgiving special burger which was awesome. My girlfriend ordered the Bruce Lee. Best burgers we’ve had in a long time. Wish we lived in the area so we could try the other burgers!

Great burgers! In the early 1980’s, we called them Gert Burgers, Gert made many delicious burgers and chips in her day! Mick’s Office is a wonderful flashback destination. Thankfully, it’s stood the test of time! It’s always fun and staff is great!

Was in the area for a month for work. Became my home away from home. Friendly regulars, wonderful staff, great food, and cheap beer. What’s not to love. Made sure to bring home a mug as a memento. Micks office is what every neighborhood bar should aspire to be.
