Stopped by for a quick bite to eat in 2022 while waiting for a ferry. Since last seeing the place a number of years ago they have changed their location and appear to have changed how their food is prepared. this time around I had the carnitas burrito and the food was very good and the staff was friendly. Clearly a family business with a family atmosphere.

I so wanted to like this place… Very nice order taker, enjoed the whimsy in the decor -but did not enjoy the food and was really turned off by having to buy water. Really, you have to buy a plastic bottle of water to have some with your MEXICAN food.

Always love to go here! The food is authentic, and very fresh. The portions are great and the prices are on par with the area. First thing I noticed was the child labor they’re using to tend the counter and cook the food. Someone knocked over the salt. Beef, chicken and pork tacos all were swimming in salt. Also got a chicken burrito that should have been called a rice and been burrito. My advice would be trying anything else in the area as this is not authentic, cheap or tasty. Lastly, they locked us out on the balcony. When they finally unlocked the door they said “we closed at 7pm”; I’ve never been at a restaurant where they lock customers on a deck with no way to leave.

Love this place. The food is fresh, home made, and authentic. Anna is so kind and personable! One of my favorite places on the Peninsula. They do take out which is handy for when you are catching the ferry. And they have a back balcony for the nice sunny days. P.S. They have vegan and gluten free options 🙂

Food is not very fresh tasting (at least the beans). Food is served in non throwaway dishes. View is nice.
